Just saw this and counted, seems like there are about 22-23 people here who got waitlisted. Way to go TLSHonestlyThough wrote:I gotta say, given yale's number of approx 100 on the WL, we're really well represented on this thread. Solid chunk of the WL right here

Hi all, another longtime lurker reporting my waitlist status. Complete early February if that still matters, email 8:49 pm EST (didn't go to my primary gmail inbox fwiw). Thanks for keeping me informed this cycle and best of luck to everyone!

Waitlisted as well. With an LSAT of 167, non-URM, and non-reportable GPA (international), I never dared to hope I'd even make it this far.
Also waitlisted at HLS, fwiw, and waiting from Stanford.

Longtime lurker WL as well. E-mail at 8:49, 178/3.85 October complete so I've been in it for the long haul, thanks to all the regulars for giving all of us, whether we choose to post or not, a resource like this to keep track of our cycles and put things in perspective. GL everyone!

So... what doesn't it mean for the few of us left? Last year it seems Yale sent out their entire waitlist in one day, and no decisions after that except for an acceptance around the deposit deadline. Did they just forget about us all lol

For most of the years before that there were a few straggler rejections in the days following waitlist day. I'm expecting that to be the case for us.toto1995 wrote:So... what doesn't it mean for the few of us left? So, I feel a little hurt that I apparently didn't warrant a waitlist after all this, but I am consoling myself with the knowledge that I predicted the timing of the waitlist release down to a 24-hour window. Since I also predicted last week that the decision silence would end once the Rubenstein deadline had passed, I am choosing to believe that I've gotten too close to the Yale admissions truth. Yale needs to reject me, lest I figure out some of the real secrets.

To avoid the whirlwind of emotions, mostly anger, that will come with the extremely late rejection that I'm waiting for, I'm holding onto the fact that my application gave them such a hard time (at least in my mind).AndromedaGalaxy wrote:So, I feel a little hurt that I apparently didn't warrant a waitlist after all this, but I am consoling myself with the knowledge that I predicted the timing of the waitlist release down to a 24-hour window. Edit: Yale, plz give me a decision already so I can move on with my life.

Email did not go to my primary Gmail inbox either. I did a search for "Yale" and found it. Strange.

Wow, everyone left must be on the razor's edge since they're intermingling WLs and dings.
Take heart, everyone: you made it this far, and you were likely in the top 15% of the applications. They're just having to draw that line between WL (< 3% of all applicants) and ding (>85% of all applicants), and it's got almost nothing to do with being more qualified than another person at this point. They're just looking at softs and trying to pick out who would make up the type of class they're looking for.
