Congrats new admits! :D
What are you basing the 15 number on? I have only seen one person in on LSN and only one reported here.
I think its ~15 more people added to the page overall (between members and invited). It shows you the time when people were added so you can see who was added today.
Got it - thanks for the update!

Do we think that will be it for the night?

My sentiments exactly. At least we're in the same endlessly waiting boat.

TBH I feel a lot more okay being patient after seeing that pic Asha tweeted showing her next to that enormous stack of files she reads every week. No wonder we have to wait so long. I submitted around 2/20, complete in early march. I have a feeling I'm gonna need to draw on that patience....

I remember a different photo on her twitter feed

But yeah, I'm not blaming anyone for the long waiting period either, I get it. I'm just complaining that it's long. Very very productive, as you can see :D

Just to note, last year's LSN data would suggest there will be a big acceptance wave early April.

Is it likely that anyone who went complete before February is WL/reject at this point?

When I looked through the LSN data there was a number of Jan applicants who were accepted in the early April wave. I think for everyone that hasn't been rejected yet, their application is still in play.

Not necessarily. Their system has much more variance, all it takes for a bunch of applications to be delayed (compared to similar apps that went complete around the same date) is one prof who reads his/her stack at a slower rate than average.

I think almost all people who went complete before January are prob WL/reject, but I def wouldn't say people before Feb would be out.

Wish they'd roll out some dings already.

At the risk of my posts on this thread getting increasingly more doomsday-ish, yeah, it seems that way. I know the entire cycle is late this year, but I'm pretty sure they started ding waves March 12 last year? I'm at least hoping to be able to scratch this off the list by April.

What is the latest date one could hear back? Is there a concrete cutoff date?

Since I didn't apply until the very last day the app was open () I am pretty clueless about the Yale process (if there is anything to know anyway). Does how quickly your app goes complete mean anything at all? I went complete 1 week after applying, which seems like a pretty fast turnaround (for Yale). But maybe it means nothing. Just curious!

I don't think the length it takes for your app to go complete is predictive of anything. That said, due to the big disparities in how long it has taken apps to go complete, I do think everyone should be using their "Complete Date" as the gauge for how long they have waited for a decision (instead of "Submission Date").

Any update to the FB group, since it was 212 (members + invited + 1 admin) on Saturday?

Still 212 (167 + 44 + 1) though it shows several people who've been added since Saturday

Interesting. Does that mean that people have left the group? Or just that folks who were invited to the group actually joined the group?

Pretty sure it just means that they joined the group after having been invited. When you join it doesn't show your invite date as the added date, it uses the date you actually accepted

For Y's black box, is major a big factor? Like, are some majors given more weight and somewhat act as an extra soft (or, on the flip side, are some majors seen as detriment)?

Because of the unique faculty review process, I think it is impossible to make generalizations about the Yale process. All professors likely have their own way of evaluating applicants.

Well, if you're a fashion major, you^re probably a better fit for HLS ...
