Woah, does this call for a FB group number update request? (Members + invitees)

Nope. Sorry to confuse. Was not admitted yesterday, just made a decision yesterday.

That person on LSN probably just updated late--there have been no new invites or members in the last 4 days at least.

New numbers: 173 members, 1 admin, 40 invited.
Phew, so we can all go back to refreshing our emails since a wave didn't happen yesterday. It does look like 2 net new members were invited since last weekend though?

^^

I thought emails were for internationals, and calls were for stateside folks? Does Y do a mix of both?

My numbers put me at 0% chance of getting in, but Dean Asha's blog posts make me feel like it's okay to dream of getting in to Yale.

Any sense of why? Also where'd you get that info at?

Per the YLSAdmissions Twitter and Dean Asha's Twitter--and because they are trying to get decisions out as soon as possible.

Do we think the bulk of acceptances typically happen before ASW? I am 2 lazy to do this research but maybe someone has an idea :D

ETA oops I didn't know Y ASW is so late, so that's kind of a useless question. wonder if it's true for S though...

Last year at this point (3/29/16), it looks like the FB group was at 245 (members + invitees). So, it seems they are about ~31 admits behind right now. Hopefully this makes for an exciting end of the month (and early April)!

And admissions decisions into early-April. Straight admits should know fairly soon.

Doesn't this actually mean it's all going to take 5ever? Like a ton of files only going to faculty review now, so that's going to take a while, and all the borderline people will not get decisions until after the faculty review for these files is done?

I guess maybe some dings soon, IF we're lucky...

Several days ago, Asha tweeted that she had "only...today" finished reading files and that many files were still out in faculty review. So, I think her tweet tonight could POTENTIALLY mean that all files are now back from faculty review. But this is just speculation.
