I'm having trouble finding info on transferring to penn, can anyone either provide info or link me to a thread? Search function is killing me. I'm curious how difficult it is to get in as a transfer from various schools. Got in to some low T14 and some T20, wanted to know about Penn's acceptance rate on transfers. Really had my heart set here, despite my numbers being too far off.
In general, top half is good enough to transfer to a peer school, so maybe top third at a lower T14 would get you there.
Thanks! Do you happen to be familiar with any sources or places where I might read up on this? I found some interviews w/ former Penn adcoms and things about transferring, but I was hoping for maybe some data on acceptance rates and such.
just so you are aware when you transfer you have to pay sticker at the new school, so if you cannot afford two years of Penn at full price, that is something you know up front.
Also good to know, thanks! I take it that means schools don't offer merit or need based aid for transfer students?

Not entirely sure abou need based, but have seen on numerous websites that the schools don't offer merit aid, and I wouldn't think they offer need aid either for transfers but not 100 percent sure on that one.

Folks who received their financial aid package already, the email I got said that we would be receiving a link to a financial aid website that gave more information about our award package. Anybody have any idea when that link will be sent?

Anyone who applied in 2016 still waiting to hear back? I'm worried now that they never got my application (even though its gone under review)

Just got my full fin-aid package (assuming my Levy alternate status doesn't change). $120k. Not bad.

So is penn sending out non-named merit schollys today?

Not sure. It specifically said in my Levy ding e-mail that they would be "acting quickly" on my scholarship decision. So I don't know if the Levy had anything to do with the timing or if its scholly time for everyone.

I was wait listed on February 27, replied to the email saying I wanted to remain on wait list on February 28th (got no response back), and then got an email yesterday saying that since they didn't hear anything from me they are removing me from the wait list. I immediately replied saying that I want to remain on the wait list, and even attached the initial email I sent on Feb 28. Still no response from Penn. Should I be concerned they're not getting my replies? Anyone else in a similar situation?

FWIW, called today and they said they're hoping to have all need out in the next week or two. Merit will be out before their reply deadline of May 1, on a rolling basis.

Oh wow, my complete date is also 1/31 and UR1 is 2/7. But I've been stuck there since then... I wonder what this means

Waitlisted. Above 75th LSAT, below median GPA. Compared to other T6's, don't know why Penn is so tough to crack for people with my numbers.

So I'm assuming if you haven't heard anything about finaid you didn't get any merit aid? I was accepted back in January.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
