If accepted, how likely are you to attend?

Are you kidding? It's my first choice. Consider my seat deposit sent.

It's high on my list but it's not THE school I'm waiting to hear back from.

It's high on my list, but I can probably be swayed by more money from another school.

Meh... I applied because it's a T14 - we'll see how my cycle goes.

Really just plan on using it for scholarship negotiation purposes.

Still feel really unsure. I'll probably visit or go to ASW to get a better feel for the school/location.

Does anyone know if WL candidates can get $ if admitted? I'm already in at 2 t14s, and have some good money at t20s. I don't think I would be able to take Mich at sticker and pass up the other offers
Spivey says yes it's possible, but it's not cut and dry.

Thanks. Also, does anyone know the truth behind the "small" waitlist class they say?

Attached the data I found on here - there waitlist is the same size at most t14 http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 2&t=225363

Being waitlisted is not the end of the world here folks... I'd guess 1/3 of T14's classes are WL at first. And yes, you can get money off the waitlist.

I noticed that for the WL survey, we have the option to reassign our application to summer+fall, fall only, and summer only. Does anyone know if summer+fall applicants have a higher chance of admission? I'm assuming fewer students want to do a summer semester and as a result Mich would want to fill those seats more easily by admitting people who are interested.

Edit: According to the Mich waitlist FAQ, the answer is "slightly higher chance"
SHOULD I INDICATE THAT I'M WILLING TO BE OFFERED A SPOT FOR THE SUMMER TERM (FOR WHICH ORIENTATION BEGINS IN LATE MAY)?

Only if you really are willing and able to take a spot if offered! Our first priority in considering the waitlist is, naturally enough, to make sure the summer term is full; further, if you are willing to be considered for both summer and fall, that will give you a somewhat higher chance of being admitted. That said, we certainly do not have any bias against an applicant who does not want to be considered for summer; we recognize that the short timeframe for decision making presents a special burden.

I applied in late December and haven't gotten wait-listed or denied yet. Which is surprising because GPA is almost certainly low enough to keep me out.

Question though: Does the "Last Updated" date change every time you log into the status checker? mine has been updated every day for the last week or so. If I'm not causing it then maybe they're giving me a harder look than I expected.

The status checker updates every time you check it.

Actually Dean Z said their status checkers update once per day:

Does anyone know if not requesting a spot on the WL tells Mich that I'm withdrawing my app, or do I have to tell them I'm withdrawing?

There's an option in the waitlist survey to opt out of being considered for admission decisions, which I selected. I assume this is equivalent to withdrawing.

Finally went complete 02/20 after applying 01/12. Does anyone know how much more of a heart-wrenching wait I'm in for?
