Fair to say that they've started to review apps then?govlife wrote:+1curry1 wrote:Received a generic e-mail from Columbia today titled "Thank You for Submitting an Application for Admission". Applied over a month ago, anyone else get this?
Pretty sure they don't give a crap where your parents went but yea SUNY and CUNY is fine. Especially given that CU is in NY. I wouldn't worry tho.Keilz wrote:Do you guys think they know what SUNY and CUNY are for my parents degrees? Spelling it out takes up all the characters
They must ask it for some reason!taxman14 wrote:Pretty sure they don't give a crap where your parents went but yea SUNY and CUNY is fine. Especially given that CU is in NY. I haven't applied yet, but I wrote a Why Columbia statement, it never hurts. And if that's the case just title them accordingly and put on different pages?Keilz wrote:They must ask it for some reason!taxman14 wrote:Pretty sure they don't give a crap where your parents went but yea SUNY and CUNY is fine. Also, did anyone who wrote a why columbia attach it in the supplementary statement section? Not a diversity statement. Also, I think I need to put my LSAT addendum here? But they ask for you to combine them into one document, which is weird.
yeah that's what I did, I put statement 1 of 2 etc. to make it clear i have multiple lol, just I think the other schools ask you to upload separate docs.taxman14 wrote:I haven't applied yet, but I wrote a Why Columbia statement, it never hurts. Trying to figure out if you're worthy of their prestigeR. Jeeves wrote:lol columbia really wants to know a lot about my parents. what year they graduated college lol like why?
I submitted them through LSAC and my status checker says they are received, naming all of my recommenders. I don't remember seeing a different way to submit them.RamTitan wrote:Just noticed that Columbia needs the rec letters directly from the recommenders...did you guys just ask your people to e-mail Columbia's admissions office directly?
Yeah their instructions has a confusing sentence in there, but later in the paragraph it says hey only accept them through LSACs servicepotterotter wrote:+1poptart123 wrote:I submitted them through LSAC and my status checker says they are received, naming all of my recommenders.
