Nope, never got a request as far as I know.hoyasaxa13 wrote:Did you interview?Stay-at-Home Son wrote:Sorry, meant to include this as well, got distracted at work. Submitted 1/22, but didn't go complete until 3/2. I reported a really minor incident from my freshman year of college on the application's C&F section, but unfortunately my undergrad student conduct office never sent the required documentation, so it took a while to get the gears turning. Honestly, given how long that all took I wasn't expecting to get any good news back from CLS. So I guess what I'm saying is don't give up.Keilz wrote:Congrats when did you submit?Stay-at-Home Son wrote:In via email today at 2:30. LSAT & GPA both at the medians.

Sooo... Here we are, March 21. Got the "deadline is in April" e-mail, radio silence after my interview. Should I give up now?

Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
Can anyone please help me clarify the following?
I am a late applicant and only went complete very recently. Upon going complete, the online status checker stated:
"Please note that once an application is rendered "Complete" per the status checker and accompanying email, no further updates will be communicated via the status checker. Additionally, admissions decisions will not be available online; rather, all applicants will receive their final decisions by mail.
Does this mean that all future updates are only sent via snail-mail, or is that only referring to the final decision?
Thanks so much, I apologise if I am being ignorant

Now that you're complete there is no need for the status checker, as it will no longer update.Studybuddy17 wrote:Can anyone please help me clarify the following?

You'll get an email if you're accepted, put on hold, or waitlisted (reserve). If you're denied you'll get a snail mail letter.

yeah...they just seemed less concerned about if you'd want to go there and more concerned about why columbia should want you. they basically said for the loci they were looking for you to make an argument for yourself and your specific fit at clssigree wrote:Care to explain?eck456 wrote:i met with them a few weeks ago and that seems like it's part of it, but they're also looking for fit. they want to see why you have an interest in CLS and what you could bring to the communityytrewq321 wrote:Perhaps to gauge interest and protect yield. Glad to hear that this is what they're looking for; I did precisely that in my LOCI, and my recommender did the same.eck456 wrote: yeah...they just seemed less concerned about if you'd want to go there and more concerned about why columbia should want you. they basically said for the loci they were looking for you to make an argument for yourself and your specific fit at cls
Still not expecting to make it in off of Reserve

Just got the email. WL, submitted early Jan and interviewed early Feb. LSAT = median, GPA > 75th. Int'l applicant. Disappointed as was planning to defer for a year. Now it's not possible anymore.
Good luck to all the waiters. Hope you'll have better luck than me!

Any idea how many people get in off of the "hold" list (assuming they write a LOCI)

So this happened to me last year and I wound up reapplying this year since I was deferring anyway and got in...fwiw might be worth thinking of doing an extra cycle!
