hamilton = full tuition
butler = half tuition

you generally have to be well over both 75ths to get a hamilton, on the other hand, Columbia was giving extreme splitters with LSAT'S 174+ Butler's last cycle, which is how they jumped their LSAT numbers so much.

I'm a splitter with a 174+, is the Butler application a process thing? Or do they consider you automatically when you apply?

Awesome. A long shot with my luck, but is there anywhere online that gives a description of the scholarship? I can't seem to find it.

It's literally just half tuition, there isn't any special program that comes with it. Thus, no online description of it.

I would not mention the second reason. I think it does not look favorable to have admissions know that people ignored your LOR request.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Think it's fine just to say I didn't want to jeopardize my current employment, or do I need to have some explanation for why I didn't ask anyone from my first job?

I think the jeopardize reason is okay. Maybe also put in a line saying something like you thought another academic LOR was more indicative of your abilities because you had the opportunity to work longer with them/more closely with them? Idk

Checking in, 171/Above Average (International), mylsn says it's a coin flip but LSAC says chances are around 30-40%, I guess it's still well worth a shot :)

During the information session that I attended at Columbia, there was a girl that asked this same question about not being able to ask for a recommendation due to the jeopardizing reason. Jill Nussbaum said that it was completely fine as long as you explain it in an addendum.

Quick question: for NYU, do we need to write a detailed description of our college and post-college activities as the Yale app requires? thanks!

Not sure what you mean, I didn't send in my Yale app yet. You send in the same usual information as most law schools: your resume/extracurricular activities.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

I see you've posted the same question across several threads, and as one user already responded, Yale is the only school that requires this. Most applications (other than Yale) have a section already designated for college activities, etc.
Please stop spamming the pages with the same question. One post would have sufficed.

Is it OK to have a colleague who was basically at the same position/level as you write your professional LOR?
I know they'd do a better job than my former supervisor, who was pretty MIA/literally spelled her own name wrong on her business card.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
