Thanks for answering~ It says on their website that applicants that go complete by December will hear back by March.

Since we are supposed to hear back by March, if I don't get a email by the end of the month, that means the ding letter is on the way? Thanks guys.
I do think dings are only by mail. Sorry if this has already been answered but how do we know that we'll hear in March if we submitted in 2016? I'd resigned my myself to late April :(

I feel like I'm in the hunger games. I also feel oddly alone in this thread.

Does Columbia do a big ding wave at the end? I've had radio silence since late November

Yes, I have this fear that my rejection got lost in the mail and I've been pathetically grasping to a glimmer of hope when really Columbia was like "nah" months ago.

Sign up for USPS Informed Delivery and you'll get an automated daily email at 8am with scans of every piece of mail to be received that day. You'll still have to check the mailbox later that day to see the contents, but might relieve some anxiety...

I was not part of this reserve wave for some reason. My pessimism says that means a ding letter soon, but MyLSN says a ding is extremely rare for my stats with over half getting acceptances and the remainder almost purely getting WL'd.

Then again, MyLSN has been too optimistic for me in general...

I feel you. Definitely didn't think I had the stats for a straight ding but that's what it is looking like at this point.

Did a self guided tour today and sat in on a 1L course. Loved it, despite the rain, and I enjoyed the limited conversation I had with current 1Ls. I'm a held applicant, since February, and a reverse splitter so I don't have too much hope.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
