Good to know that I'm not alone! I'm just trying to figure out how Chicago is even going to fit in all their URs let alone an interview.intlbr wrote:Nothing...futureellewoods123 wrote:Nope, nothing herebatlaw wrote:Anyone that has gone UR1 in March have an interview request or any movement?

Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Do we have an idea of what proportion of Chicago's class has been admitted thus far?
Edit: for those wondering, last year's class size was 186, and LSN currently reports 178 accepted. For 2015-16, LSN reported 134 accepted.

I'd bet they'll see better yield this year, what with the ranking and all.TudoBem wrote:334 members on U Chicago Class 2020 Facebook, I am not sure how many adms though.cmkk13 wrote:Do we have an idea of what proportion of Chicago's class has been admitted thus far?

Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
So anytime I mention to someone at other schools that I'm strongly considering Chicago I get the same response: "everyone knows it's a great school but everyone I know there is miserable." Interestingly enough, the most of the Chicago alums I met seemed to have enjoyed their experience there (with some exceptions) but some of the other admits I've met definitely live up to the kinda awkward reputation the student body has. I know this has been discussed before, but anyone else concerned about this?

I forgot, Chicago has a yield problem because its entire student body has that whole "Can't talk since the accident" thing.

Don't think its a problem for grad school. Know a bunch of people from UChicago undergrad and a few who went to law school and they are wildly different.dasq5511 wrote:So anytime I mention to someone at other schools that I'm strongly considering Chicago I get the same response: "everyone knows it's a great school but everyone I know there is miserable." Also, think that law school might make you miserable because of how much work you have whether or not you go to Chicago

you went complete after UR? I was complete 1/30 > UR1 2/10 > UR2 3/10 > UR3 3/17 > WL 3/20 (no interview)meg2017 wrote:Same to all of the above - UR 2/9, Complete 3/1 -nothing yetcmkk13 wrote:Still waiting on UR here - complete for over a month. Since I have been considering U of C more I have been pushing people and the most common thing is that they know someone in undergrad, not the law school. I have met one person who didnt not enjoy their experience, but probably would not pick it again. Everyone else seems to really like it, albeit not to Michigan or UVA cult level standards.dasq5511 wrote:So anytime I mention to someone at other schools that I'm strongly considering Chicago I get the same response: "everyone knows it's a great school but everyone I know there is miserable." That's definitely an undergrad reputation (that probably isn't deserved anymore, my friends who went there loved it) as the Law School is known to be super tight-knit and relaxed. They have wine mess every Friday with professors. I think they really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. This school seems like the dream.azaleafire wrote:Since I have been considering U of C more I have been pushing people and the most common thing is that they know someone in undergrad, not the law school. But Chicago the city is awesome, but it's also a cold and miserable place, so there's that.

Was this something you were told during the interview? I'm wondering whether we should expect to hear later today.VapidP wrote:Feb admit with scholly. Do y'all know if non-named schollies (email from Kevin Petty) include need-based aid?
