Enjoy Harvard. Life is here and now. Be happy, be content. I am thrilled and honored to be attending UChicago this fall, but I totally respect your decision.HonestlyThough wrote:let my ruby go! May it go to a soul who is (according to TLS) far wiser than I!

Accepted earlier this week and offered a full tuition scholarship! In awe! I had given up on hearing back. Now I'm back to figuring out my life.

it's an absolutely wonderful school! Spoke to many who couldn't have been happier about their experience there. Ultimately decided it wasn't the right fit for what I felt I needed out of this experience. have a wonderful time!TudoBem wrote:Enjoy Harvard. Life is here and now. Be happy, be content. Hi team--has anyone on the waitlist received a waitlist confirmation email? The FAQ (http://www.law.uchicago.edu/files/files ... faqs_0.pdf) seem to indicate that it was to be sent out earlier this month, but I never received it. I wrote to them to double check but wondering if others had a similar issue.

Has there been any major WL movement at all? Are they even going to take people off the WL at all? I feel like hanging myself after six months wait.

Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I don't think there's been any major waitlist movement...a few people who had already interviewed got in off the WL alongside some regular admits if I'm not mistaken, but I don't get the sense they've done anything major with the WL (I was WL'd 3/21 and UChicago is a top choice for me so I've tried to follow closely!)stevengnehs wrote:Has there been any major WL movement at all? You got the Ruby off waitlist? Aww man, maybe I should have handed in my supplemental essay/LOCI when they asked me to... I would have chosen Ruby if I was offered it but I didn't think it was possible to get it since I was waitlisted. May have been the initial decision--I know there was one batch as of recently that hadn't heard an initial decision yet (later applicants) But will let defy confirm!Rodgepwnd wrote:You got the Ruby off waitlist? Is there a WL thread for Chicago? Are they still making initial decisions? Don't think I've seen WL movement anywhere.

I haven't seen a thread and I don't have bandwidth to be OP for it :/ I wouldn't be surprised if they were still doing initial decisions...but I haven't heard of any WL movement.skurfy wrote:Is there a WL thread for Chicago? Was waitlisted and the wait is driving me crazy, want UChicago so bad. Since it's a small school, I figure there aren't many people who get off waitlist, right? Anyone know the percentage?

Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I think it is really really variable from year to year. I know in 2015 a bunch of the Class of 2018 was admitted off the WL, but looking at last year's thread it looks like very few members of the Class of 2019 were. It seems unpredictable (not great for those of us who really want Chicago off the WL :/)StopLawying wrote:Was waitlisted and the wait is driving me crazy, want UChicago so bad. Remember UChicago is on a quarter system, classes starting 3rd week in September. WL movement can happen very late in July, August...Hang in there and best of luck.StopLawying wrote:Was waitlisted and the wait is driving me crazy, want UChicago so bad. I know two people who have gotten off of the H waitlist so I imagine we will see some movement as a trickle-down effect occurs.TudoBem wrote:Do you guys think the class is full? so quiet here...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
