My numbers aren't bad, but I am retaking the LSAT in Feb. I notified Chicago of this just in the interest of disclosure but said that I didn't want my app held for my new score. They have ignored this request and decided to hold my app anyways... I was probably gonna get waitlisted until my new score came out anyways but just a warning for anyone who is taking the Feb LSAT

Interesting. I'm registered for Feb, too, but didn't bother notifying any schools because I think my numbers are pretty strong as is, and I'm mostly retaking to help me out $$$-wise. But maybe I'll get held everywhere a decision hasn't been made already yet. Well, I guess it doesn't matter to me other than I'm impatient

Did they tell you they are holding it anyways?

Yes, they said that there were going to change my app to incomplete and wait for my new score anyways. Maybe they were already planning on WL/Dinging me and they are actually being nice by waiting

Yes, it changed to incomplete. Now my app technically won't be compelete until after the deadline has passed, but I'm sure that if they did this that they are making an exception since my app was sent in November

Ok now this is interesting! Did you have an interview before registering for Feb? I just checked my status and I'm still UR2 (had my interview in November and was UR2 right after), even though I'm registered for a retake...

Seeing as no one has reported going UR4 yet, I think chances are slim for acceptances. But really hoping for UR4 action today.

Edit: I'm not sure if UR4 is sufficient or necessary for admission, but lots of ppl on last year's thread had them when I looked, so I'm assuming we'd see at least a few before any admits.

I doubt it would be something they hold against you! I'm glad it was just a misunderstanding and not a blatant disregard for your preferences lol

Well, Chicago realized this morning that they had read my email incorrectly and decided to go ahead and switch me back to UR... I can't imagine that all of this attention is good for my chances

This will have zero impact on your chances. Chicago isn't going to accept, waitlist, or reject you based on their inability to read your email. If anything, it annoyed them that they made the mistake, then they spent 15 seconds to fixed it and moved on with their day. I swear some of you people have the most bizarre paranoias.

I was lamenting to a friend that I have yet to go UR1 despite being complete for a little over a month, and he responded, without missing a beat, "The University of Chicago will review your application just as soon as the free market demands it." So, um, I guess Sunday or no Sunday the market conditions were right.

Also, yes, I interpret that as UR3.
