Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Just sent in my LOCI. It is the first LOCI I've sent, but to the school that most recently put me on WL (I'm on WL at four others). I guess getting put on WL by a school high on my list that I expected to ding me is a good motivator . Now that I've written one, I think the rest will come more easily. A large part of my procrastination was just having trouble starting. The thread Ken made really helped.

Me too, submitted last week! (two pages, double-spaced). I love love love the Chicago community and approach and have my fingers very much crossed! Good vibes to all. (and hoping we wind up like some of the folks who have already been WL'd and accepted!)lula43 wrote:Instrumental wrote:Just sent in my LOCI. Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
No, I kept it at one page (single spaced, TNR, 12pt font). I considered making it longer by getting into more detail with the specifics of the clinics and programs that interest me, but felt that it would be unnecessary. I figured keeping the letter concise and simply making note of those programs and why they interest me would be best. In the end I think I successfully conveyed my sincere interest. Hopefully they feel the same way.lula43 wrote:Did you make yours a full 2 pages? Working on mine now..Instrumental wrote:Just sent in my LOCI. Is anybody trying to negotiate scholarships *before* the April 20th date where they promise to start reviewing awards?

Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Thanks! I actually was accepted before submitting it, so I don't know if I am of much help there. I included a why Chicago section in my PS and talked extensively about it in my interview, though, so that might be why they didn't wait for mine. I talked about the business law program in detail and the value for my future goals of being in Chicago. Good luck!lula43 wrote:You're living the dream, my man. Any LOCI advice? I will probably need to, because I have a scholarship deadline at another school before 4/20.

Best of luck! And thank you to everyone else for responding as well - I'm working with a 04/12 deadline so hoping they get to all of us before our respective ultimatums.poptart123 wrote:Submitted mine Thursday for an 04/01 deadline. I think I may ask my other school for an extension tomorrow just to be safe.lsa16 wrote:Best of luck!
