You're very welcome. A combination for 2L summer I see a lot is firm/ACLU, for example, or firm/DOJ. Good luck with everything!

What's the general tone of interviews? Are they nice like harvard? Do they grill people?

My interview was very professional, no small talk. Do be ready to answer why Chicago, which you wouldn't have to do for Harvard.

I really studied the layout of the area, clinical offerings, professors, programs, etc. to be able to sell a sincere interest. I think that is what sold them on me. This was good for why UChi but also to incorporate why UChi into other questions.

thank you! That vibe doesn't surprise me at all given what I've heard about Chicago. It's interesting, though, since all of my others have been very friendly and conversational. I have found that every school gets super excited to talk about their clinics. :)

I think what I did, and it's been a while, but naming specific things the clinics did. For example, "It's so impressive that the XYZ Crim Def Clinic was able to free this person from imprisonment after 15 years behind bars. It would be amazing to be able to have that sort of impact on the life of an individual before even being licensed to practice. That's the type of opportunity I am seeking, and that is why UChi is an extremely competitive choice for me as I apply to various law schools."

That's along the lines of what I did, I think.

I think most people it was UR3 but now that we've moved to this late in the cycle we may be looking at dings (I went complete 2/13, UR1 3/1, UR2 4/12 and no indication of an interview request)

If UChicago gave me the highest amount of scholarships and is also the best school I've gotten into thus far... What's the likelihood of me receiving a scholarship increase? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess it can't hurt to fill out the form anyway, but realistically, chances are slim to none?

I would try to really sell another school: close to family, area I want to work in, cost of living; whatever you can throw at them to make them sound like they are being considered but it is close.

Ah, ok. It would be odd if you hadn't gotten a decision yet. (If that were the case, I would have speculated it was a slip-up meaning you'd be getting an acceptance soon!)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
