Anyone know if it's possible to get retroactive fee waiver? 4.02 GPA/172 LSAT so I should have gotten one, but I applied on the first day that the app opened without realizing I could be saving some money. Any advice?

You can't get retroactive fee waivers. Once you've paid, you've paid. Sorry :(

Still haven't finalized my PS yet, guess timing is a bit tight already.

Don't worry, I haven't finalized mine either. Might just wait to really buckle down on it until after the Sept LSAT. It'll give me something to do other than work and stress over receiving my score .

Somebody mentioned RTK earlier in this thread. I think I'm going to apply for the Civil Rights/Liberties/Crim. Justice one. Aligns with my goals really well, and a full ride with perks to NYU would basically secure the school for me barring H by some miracle.

So I'm from southern suburbs, and while I haven't lived in NYC, I did spend some time living in D.C. While I did get tired of the city and constantly hearing cars and sirens (only every so often), it was amazing to actually not need a car or drive fifteen minutes to go anywhere that would take an hour+ on foot. I really enjoyed the walk-ability of living in the area. It has it's pros and cons, but it wasn't difficult, just different.

I was born in nyc and still live here, and honestly, if you've lived here long enough, you'll learn to ignore the background noise of sirens, cars, people screaming like idiots, etc :D

I forgot to mention that coming from the suburbs, I lost ten pounds in my first six months due to not having a car.

Moved from the southern suburbs to d.c. and after a year I very mixed emotions. I love the city and I'll probably be back here in 3 years but I do not think the city is beneficial for me to study and learn. Obviously people do well all the time, but watching my girlfriend and best friend both do grad school here I think I'd rather be somewhere outside of a big city for school. Just my 2¢.

How long did it take you guys to get an e-mail with your username and password to check the application status?

I applied yesterday, have all the documents in, and haven't gotten an e-mail from them yet. I have gotten emails from all the other schools already.
