And then I'll just mail my deposit (overnight signature required, of course - I'm not an animal). That'll be the end of it.

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I'm actually already in the acceptance stage of grief. This feels weird, but it also is comforting because I won't pretend for another three weeks that I'll see anything other than WL or Rejected on my status checker.
I think more than anything else I've had difficulty reconciling the notion that I'm "under review" with the information shared during this cycle and prior cycles on both TLS and LSN. Like, I'm woke as hell but NYU stay trying to convince me that I have a shot.

So if NYU adheres to the same pattern as last year, next Tuesday will be the last wave of acceptances, followed by rejections in early April, waitlists in mid/late April, and acceptances off of the waitlist in mid-May

Yeah that's one good thing about a late waitlist. Btw didn't you say you saw a few April 7th acceptances?SybillAnnDorsett wrote:acceptances began as early as May 10th! Yes, it seems via TLS I found April 7th acceptances. Scary, though, that there were none on LSN.

Yeah, day off today and thought I'd come stare into everyone's eyes so as to telepathically communicate my desperation. Perhaps I'll walk into admissions and perform a monologue? sing? dance? All of the above, really.jessmeesh wrote:SybillAnnDorsett wrote:Guys, syb is at NYU today, again. I just love to torture myself :/

I can't get on to the status checker right now, but I applied in January and still haven't heard back. Expecting the WL/ding.alexxiao wrote:Any UR2 2/20 ppl here...? Is this Tuesday the last chance according to last year's record
EDIT: in the status checker now, "app remains under review" from 2/24. Bleh.

Yeah this is interesting. Haven't seen anyone report changes with UR dates. Maybe they're done with acceptances and now they're working on determining who goes in the waitlist, ding piles?RParadela wrote:Has anyone had any UR movement the past several days?

Anyone with UR recently changed and not heard back so far?
I saw some people had seen UR movements several days before last week's acceptances but looks like not for this week...
Are there people who got accepted straight from UR2?

Gave up already and put effort into LOCIs at places where I'm already waitlisted. Feels kinda nice not to focus so much on NYU anymore.

Super depressed. Visiting campus Wednesday, I realize that I'm probably just going to be accumulating info for a waitlist LOCI at this point.

I emailed admissions yesterday for reconsideration, and got a friendly response today saying they are sending out info about how to appeal (they have a formal appeals process) this week. So hang tight!69waystodie wrote:Did anyone have any success in negotiating up Financial aid? Just got my award today, about what I expected.
