Anyone know the page restrictions on for a Diversity Statement for NYU? I can't seem to find any specifications on their website.

Just got an unsolicited fee waiver. So happy! Been waiting for this one. (Would've applied either way because it's probably my top choice, but still, lol)

Shout out to NYU for making our Fridays jazzier! yey!
On another note: Do y'all think that if I'm applying to one of the scholarships, that I also need to write "why NYU"? Or does the scholarship effort/essay suffice to show that genuine interest?

Got the fee waiver the minute my tour of the law school ended! I thought somehow they got my email and knew I was at the info session- what a coincidence!

FWIW I just went to the info session and he said if you're taking the time and spending 85 dollars to fill out the application we assume you want to go herepretzeltime wrote:Shout out to NYU for making our Fridays jazzier! yey!

I did not receive a waiver.
This has caused me to waver from my intention to apply here.

I don't think it's something that's common necessarily but I think I'll be writing one because, like I said, NYU is probably my TOP choice, so if not anything else -- I'll at least tell them thatR. Jeeves wrote:Do ppl generally write Why NYUs? I thought T6 didn't really look for that.

Yeah I have a GPA around median and LSAT above 75th no waiver :'( I'm really not getting lucky this year.aaronbursar wrote:Curious about stats for those who got waivers today. I'll add a data point at well above 75th LSAT and above median GPA - no waiver.

Yeah, that jump screws me.TexasENG wrote:Damn on that 25th jump. Seems like most schools were accepting a 25th drop on their GPA to hold their medians last cycle.TheMikey wrote:OP updated (kind of) with the new 2016 entering class LSAT/GPA stats!

That jump puts me right at their 25th now instead of between their 25th and 50th. We will see what happens now I guess?RamTitan wrote:Yeah, that jump screws me.TexasENG wrote:Damn on that 25th jump. Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I'm a 3.66, so I was barely above their 25th. More motivation to really knock the LSAT out of the park later this month, but realistically NYU is probably going to be too expensive for me at the end of the day.TheMikey wrote:That jump puts me right at their 25th now instead of between their 25th and 50th. i mean when the ranges are that tight I really don't think it's statistically significant, honestly the difference between a 3.7 and a 3.8 is probably a few A-s it's pretty much saying "most of our applicants have between 3.7-3.9"

Received a fee waiver! I was thinking of including a why NYU essay but there doesn't really seem to be place on the app for it. If anyone else has attached one, where did you put? additional information? I have a legitimate reason to include one but I don't want to shoehorn it in.

I didn't receive a fee waiver yesterday. Anyone have luck with soliciting? I got one two years ago, should I mention that?
