Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
some schools give you a waiver and don't email you about it. so you have to check whether you have a "hidden" waiver for whatever schools youre going to apply to. i guess they connect it to your LSAC number yeahbrinicolec wrote:I'm glad you brought up hidden fee waivers. Is the idea behind it that they connect the fee waiver to our L# or something? I'm just asking because I've gotten a few fee waivers via email already but it's not like they provided me a code. It was basically like "When you apply, it should be there."R. Jeeves wrote:i think i would do it a few days or a week before a school's app opens up.proteinshake wrote:So I'm assuming it's too early to solicit fee waivers right?
also for those that arent aware of hidden fee waivers, I added a link in the OP.

I was talking to a T1/T2 school that I was recently accepted to (I ithdrew my app), and they told me to contact them a week before the fall app opens to get a fee waiver to reapply.

Oh dudes...Fen-Phen...I must be getting old. It was all the rage in the 90s. Weight loss drug. Turned out to kill you slowly and resulted in massive class-action law suits. Good stuff!TAD wrote:Just googled it....looks like some Drug related to weight gain.spot on.pretzeltime wrote:don't know what that is but glad papa meerkat is in town <3ponderingmeerkat wrote:Checking in! Yep, not the worst approach. I do that sometimes and write a lot of crazy shit. But if you cut away some of it, there are usually some excellent kernels in thereponderingmeerkat wrote:Started mine last weekend when I was highly cocktail. Checking in to add that the best pizza I ever had was in Chapel Hill while recruiting at UNC. I can't remember the name of the place, but I think it was legendary there. Can anyone help?
Second best was Post Corner Pizza on the New Canaan/Darien CT border.

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
FWIW I just got an email about Akron's "Innovative Spring Start Program," as if they were the first to think of this.
Again, FWIW, they also highlighted their unsubscribe button, which was very thoughtful of them.

Wondering when I should purchase CAS. Has anyone gotten it yet? Or is it typical for people to get it like a week before putting apps in?

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
hahah that would be awesome if that were the case because I LOVE FREE PIZZA and free food generally. and I will probably go to an ASW or two just for the free stuff.R. Jeeves wrote:Oh wow nvm I'm dumb. Somehow I interpreted it as the pizzas that schools have at their events and stuff and I imagined you travelling to ASWs across the country to sample the carbs.pretzeltime wrote:well I mean they're all in cities/neighborhoods where I've eaten pizza before! of course! except like duke and michigan, I've never eaten pizza round there and have minimal desire to do soR. Jeeves wrote:wait how are you so knowledgeable about pizza at all these institutions of higher education?
but I mean it's very possible to live off of the free food at HLS even if you don't go there, I will teach u my ways J
