you can smell their desperation from the emailem15 wrote:I just got a scholarship to a school I was accepted to back in January whose deposit deadline I let pass without paying...schools do that?!
Haha seriously. It's practically a full tuition scholarship at a T20 school too, so now I have to rethink everything. They may win me over even with reeking of desperationcharles117 wrote:you can smell their desperation from the emailem15 wrote:I just got a scholarship to a school I was accepted to back in January whose deposit deadline I let pass without paying...schools do that?!

Haha good guess. Yeah, that's where the dilemma is. I way prefer Boston, but the debt difference is significant...amta wrote:iowa city is boring as fuck. hth.em15 wrote:Haha seriously. I've sent both deposits to BC. I'm from OH, so I applied to several big 10 schools in the Midwest.charles117 wrote:I didnt even apply there since I knew I didnt want to go to iowa. are you planning on going to bu?em15 wrote:Iowacharles117 wrote:emory?em15 wrote:Haha seriously. Thanks! It is! It's just a big debt difference between BC and Iowa now, and I don't know if that debt is worth it when I have a higher ranked school offering me this much moneycharles117 wrote:

Ignore rankings. Just decide what it is you'd like to do career wise and where you'd like to work. Then assess how each school will help you get there.em15 wrote:Thanks! It is! Congrats on the bump.
I withdrew on Tuesday and had that scholarship, that's pretty funny. I went down there and visited and everything and it was generally lovely but in the end decided I didn't want to work in Iowa or the surrounding states.em15 wrote:Iowacharles117 wrote:emory?em15 wrote:Haha seriously. So ignore the 100k cost different and just pick on location? I want patent law, and I can do that from either.chargers21 wrote:+1. Both are regional and get you different jobs in different locations.Rigo wrote:Ignore rankings. Just decide what it is you'd like to do career wise and where you'd like to work. Well no obviously factor in cost.em15 wrote:So ignore the 100k cost different and just pick on location? I want patent law, and I can do that from either.chargers21 wrote:+1.
