Thanks, that makes sense. Don't think specifications will matter all that much for me so definitely will lean more towards comfort34iplaw wrote: .

I put down two seat deposits. Should I withdraw from the more expensive (and thus less likely) option today since schools can access the double deposit list soon? I was considering waiting until the second deposit date in case more money is freed up, but I don't want to irritate the first school.

Isn't being double deposited and them seeing you how you get your leverage?tncats wrote:I put down two seat deposits. I'm the opposite! I stress about phone calls and leave them off until the very last minute, but find comfort in emails because I can edit it all I want before I send it off.charles117 wrote:I find that calling is easier than writing emails for some reason. when I write emails to admissions, I stress out about it too muchKeilz wrote:Ugh I hate emailing admissions offices drives my paranoia up the wall

I've never had a reason to call before, just to submit LOCIs, etc.sorence wrote:I'm the opposite! For anyone needing a new machine and wants a surfacebook or surface pro device and has an old mac lying around, you can trade in the Mac for up to $850 credit (supposedly the devices are valued generously) and 10% off the full price of device.
May go that route and figured I'd share!

Has anyone else been a serial ghoster this cycle? I don't think I formally "withdrew" from a single school. Not even the ones that gave me unsolicited scholarship bumps or the ones who provided generous ASD reimbursements. Now I feel like I'm on some sort of blacklist where all the rude/lazy/unprofessional applicants go. I also feel like I have bad waitlist karma. Sigh.

have you committed to a school yet? if there are schools that you 100% know you wont go to, its better to formally withdraw because it reduces delays for other applicants decisionschichi1992 wrote:Has anyone else been a serial ghoster this cycle? Re: TLS c/o 2020 #squad thread
It takes like 5 minutes to withdraw from 10 schools. You can send them the exact same e-mail if you want, from "Dear Admissions Committee..." down. You should just do it.chichi1992 wrote:Has anyone else been a serial ghoster this cycle? I don't think I formally "withdrew" from a single school. I felt really bad that I forgot to withdraw from Michigan. I got an email from them asking to confirm I wasn't coming and I apologized for the late response. Withdrew from everywhere else.guybourdin wrote:It takes like 5 minutes to withdraw from 10 schools. You can send them the exact same e-mail if you want, from "Dear Admissions Committee..." down. how are there 550 votes in this poll, but there are less than 50 in the waiter championship.

Does it count each one (ie, 113 people would vote 4 times to get ~550 votes)? Still way more than we currently have over there though.amta wrote:how are there 550 votes in this poll, but there are less than 50 in the waiter championship.
Everyone should go subscribe to the page in the C/O forum soon, we're gonna have to get out of the waiters index
