Interesting. I'm going to start brainstorming for mine soon, and I have no idea what kind of topic to even start with lol. How many "Why X" essays are you going to be doing?zeglo wrote:I had a few ideas within a day, but actually writing it took a few weeks on and off. I then put it away for a few months and came back to fix it for another few weeks. I did it in small bursts rather than one long process, so when I say a few weeks, I mean not every day. Also, I actually wrote two different personal statements on different topics, then compared.TheMikey wrote:How long did it take you to brainstorm ideas for your PS?zeglo wrote:I've got my personal statement 100% done, and my resume looks good. Now for the supplemental essays!

looks like NYU is the place to be for pizza. Even if all the "other" votes in the pizza poll were for the same school, NYU still won. valuable info.
Now we're speculating on dem vp noms.
Also i need new poll ideas since this one wont last more than a few days.

Next poll could be favorite travel destination. You just rocked a Eurotrip and I think others have been to awesome places. Would love to see where everyone recommends.

Depressingly true. I work out 5-6 days a week just to contain my medium-sized love handles. Kids, use that university gym and pay attention to your diet.ponderingmeerkat wrote:Oh dude...when you get to my age, it takes a lot of work to maintain a solid dadbod. Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
I think you can check for hidden waivers once the apps actually open up. Idk if there's a tls consensus on this, but i think you can solicit a fee waiver a few days before a school's app opens.Mr. Bubbles wrote:Hi, I took the June LSAT and am starting to receive fee waivers. Is it too early to check for Hidden Fee Waivers yet (since there are only 2016 applications available on LSAC right now)? Do I wait for all of the 2017 apps to download and then check each school 1 by 1?
Also, I have read in past threads that some people have started soliciting fee waivers as early as the 1st week in August (again, before the new apps are up), is that too early?
Thanks

Oh thatd be cool. What do you think the options should be? Because there's a max of 10 poll options so they'd have to be kinda broad.ponderingmeerkat wrote:I'm going Castro but can't really back up that claim with anything other than a hunch.R. I fucked up and got my chiptopia card in the middle of the month, so now have to eat 11 Chipotle burritos in 15 days. I should probably work out more.

Checking in and looking forward to this cycle with everybody! Seems like a lot of people in here already took the LSAT, I'm jealous of ya'll. Gotta start working on my PS- I'm a straight white male with literally nothing interesting to write about.

We could do regions: Western Europe (France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain). Eastern Europe (Czech Rep, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia). Central America (Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama). South America (Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Colombia). Caribbean (Aruba, Curacao, St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos, Cuba, St. Barts). Japan/Korea/Taiwan/Singapore. SW Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar). Australia/New Zealand. Middle East (Oman, UAE, Turkey). Africa (Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana)R. Jeeves wrote: Oh thatd be cool. Or, here's a better idea. We could do an "If you were going to run away to a random city (all expenses paid) for a week, which of these would you choose": Ibiza, Budapest, Medellin, Zanzibar City, Dubai, Chaing Mai, Kyoto, Bali, Kathmandu, Juneau.

Would be like going to Juneau and not salmon fishing or Chaing Mai and never going to a Buddhist temple. ALL expenses are included.
