Re: Hastings C/O 2019 Applicants
Just want to post this to inform you 0Ls of what you are getting into if you go to Hastings.
You've been warned.

This school is stingy with the $, negotiate as hard as you can. If you're looking at a top 20-30 school at sticker or near sticker and Hastings at a discount, pick the former. You'll be better off in the long run.

Yeah, I got that same email on Monday. Somewhat demoralizing. I'm technically still waiting to hear from UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Irvine, but my brain says, "Well, if I got waitlisted at UC Hastings, then...."SochieGraham wrote:Waitlisted today! Ahhh so nerve racking.

Thoughts on the upcoming 2017 USNR rankings coming out next week? Specifically regarding UC Hastings, Loyola & Pepperdine (if anyone has read up on the changes).

USNWR is still completely meaningless in my book; it's more marketing than an actual ranking. Hastings took a pretty hard hit over the last twenty years because of job numbers, though, so it is nice to see that those numbers might be rebounding slightly.andradeb wrote:Thoughts on the upcoming 2017 USNR rankings coming out next week? Yes, supposedly back at top 50 and finally passing Pepperdine. Good to know. Decision time is approaching and am fluctuating between the three.BirdLawExpert wrote:USNWR is still completely meaningless in my book; it's more marketing than an actual ranking. Hi all, congrats to those that have been accepted! Just wondering, when did most people submit their apps? I went complete on 2/1, and I applied via LEOP. Still wondering when I'll hear back

Haha. I applied in December LEOP and haven't heard a thing! A bit ridiculous.

And I thought I've been waiting forever! (Went complete 2/1). I wonder if all LEOP applicants are being tabled to be considered at a later time? Hmmcoffeelover wrote:benjaye wrote:In review since 3/2, crickets since... I applied for LEOP. Anyone in the same boat?
