Hastings C/O 2019 Applicants
Alright, the October LSAT is in the books and I can't be the only person that has applied to Hastings. Who else has sent in their apps? I sent mine on the 23rd and my application went complete on the 26th.

Good luck! Guess I should ask what everyone's numbers are. I'm a 2.61 LSAC GPA, 3.92 Degree GPA, 165 LSATJudgeasaurus_Rex wrote:Checking in! App submitted and complete as of last week.

Finally went into review! Does anyone have a decision yet? It says they start sending them out in December.

Re: Hastings C/O 2019 Applicants
Hey guys,
Just FYI: I went to the information session at Hastings yesterday. The admissions counselor that met with us said that normally they give decisions to EC applicants on the date that they stated (this year it's the 20th), but that they're going to try to get them out midweek next week. So if you're an EC candidate like me, start getting prepared next week to hit that refresh button!
He also said that they're likely going to bundle up acceptances with scholarship offers at the same time. So when you get accepted, you'll likely find out how much they're offering you as well.
Important to note, however, that in the past, the first number that Hastings gives you isn't the final number. Check out the Hastings threads from past years: people would get low offers, and get unsolicited raises as time wore on. Something to think about for all you regular cycle people!

Thanks!!!
Did they mention anything that would make you hopeful that their rankings are going to go up to previous levels?

No, they didn't. But their median LSAT went up a point this year, so I'm guessing that they're making some kind of a climb, albeit a marginal one, from where they were over the last few years.Xnegd wrote:Thanks!!!

"Decision rendered" as of 12/14. Again, I'm EC so I'm earlier than the rest of the batch. But I should be hearing sometime soon!
Oh, by the way, the gentleman from admissions said they were hoping to bundle up acceptances with scholarship offers, so if you're getting money, you're probably finding out how much when you get accepted. However, I've browsed Hastings posts in the past and I've seen Hastings up scholarship offers out of the blue as time wears on.

Does Hastings use e-mail or regular mail to notify applicants of decisions on their file?HastingsHopeful wrote:"Decision rendered" as of 12/14. Again, I'm EC so I'm earlier than the rest of the batch. But I should be hearing sometime soon!

Thanks! The application status says that an email will sent to me within a week (of course, the deadline for responses is the 20th so it'll be sooner than a week). I've seen people in the past getting calls from the Dean of Admissions as well.Judgeasaurus_Rex wrote:Does Hastings use e-mail or regular mail to notify applicants of decisions on their file?HastingsHopeful wrote:"Decision rendered" as of 12/14.
