I am going to the one on April 25. What hotels are recommended? I'm looking into the Hilton on the campus. And is it better to fly into Hobby or Bush airports?Echoduck wrote:Anybody else going to Admitted students day? March 25 or April 9?
The airports are both pretty close to the campus, 20-30 min. Bush is a large airport and Hobby is smaller. I don't prefer one airport over another, but generally would fly in/out of the one where I could find the cheapest ticket. I live just outside of Houston, so I haven't stayed in many hotels - there are several around the campus (maybe Hotwire?).Harry_Pluxen wrote:I am going to the one on April 25. While Bush is larger and will have more flights Hobby is much closer to campus, so if there's a convenient and direct flight into Hobby I'd recommend that.Harry_Pluxen wrote:I am going to the one on April 25. Thanks folks. Hope to get confirmation of the ASD schedule soon from UHLC. 1Ls, what was it like last year?Echoduck wrote:The airports are both pretty close to the campus, 20-30 min. I was accepted 1/27 and still no email for me.didgeridoo92 wrote:how long does it normally take for scholarship email to come after acceptance? seen everything from the same day to a couple weeks...
I actually got my scholarship email before I knew I was accepted. I was really confused for a few minutes because the email didn't even mention that I had been accepted. The acceptance packet showed up almost two weeks later.Echoduck wrote:I was accepted 1/27 and still no email for me.didgeridoo92 wrote:how long does it normally take for scholarship email to come after acceptance? seen everything from the same day to a couple weeks...

I wouldn't worry about it too much; chances are they're just considering the entire applicant pool. I think I heard back relatively quickly because I have really strong Houston ties (I'm in Houston for undergrad, my family is here, I wrote a why-UH saying I would want to stay here in the future). I've been waiting on UT for what feels like ages though, so nothing is completely predictable.Shib26 wrote:Hmm, kind of wondering about my status now. I was complete 1/7 if I remember right and others with later completion dates have been accepted already. I feel like my stats are strong enough to be close to autoadmit but not so strong as to be yield protected. LSN has my odds as 100%, which I know there aren't any guarantees but still... I'm wondering if they held my app for the February LSAT score? But status checker shows an under review date of 1/25. Oh well, not gonna sweat it, that's how it goes with law school admissions sometimes I suppose.
I'm in the same boat. Complete on 1/6 or 1/7 not sure which one. Also, my status moved to under review 1/25. I'm becoming curious about my status as well.Shib26 wrote:Hmm, kind of wondering about my status now. I also got 8k, while most other schools have been 20 to 25k per year. Definitely interesting.trmckenz wrote:163/3.16, part-time applicant

GPA? LSAT?periwinkley wrote:I just got my scholarship email with a full tuition offer!
Since I'm a Texas resident I obviously had my heart set on UT, but this makes it much harder to choose.
