Any PT applicants here? I'm thinking about dropping in a late application, but concerned that I wouldn't be able to get any scholarships because of the timing.

Admitted today! Instate splitter. Had been UR3 since 3/1 if anyone's interested. Fingers crossed they get me scholarship information before I have a seat deposit due at other schools.

Anybody try to negotiate yet? Might send in my form today because I have some deadlines coming up Friday, though I think I can get extensions.

I went ahead and sent yesterday. I emailed the person on the form, but didn't get a confirmation response or anything. Did you hear anything back (as in a confirmation) and if so, how much later?texasborn10 wrote:I did and I had some success so I would say go ahead and send it.poptart123 wrote:Anybody try to negotiate yet? I didn't get a confirmation email. She responded to me about a week later.poptart123 wrote:I went ahead and sent yesterday. Yeah, took over a week before they responded to me. No change in the offer though.
Still a 95% chance I end up at Houston, depending on the upcoming ASD. The only other compelling offer is a full ride at Cardozo but Houston is a better school, better employment numbers, and $16k/year scholarship is probably fairly comparable after factoring in living expenses.

If my file is still "in review", does that mean they are still considering me? In other words, if they were going to deny me 100%, would they have done so already? I submitted in January. Congratulations to everyone that has been admitted. Really hope I can join you in August. Thanks for any advice you might have for me.

I have no idea, but I can say that I applied in January and just got accepted a week ago. So it seems to me that they're still accepting folks and if you're in review then that means you've got a shot.pflemin wrote:If my file is still "in review", does that mean they are still considering me? I know this comes up on the UT forms as well, but for OOS applicants UH and Tech also have a 65% instate quota. It's specified in the state's budget allocation for the universities if anybody wants to see for themselves. In case some out of states may be wondering.
