Planning to! Getting more PI-specific recommendations is the tough part. Working on the general merit scholly application first.
I'm thinking about it, but some of the stipulations made me a little nervous, so I'm going to look into it a little more. Repayment if we don't graduate makes sense on paper, but there are a lot of reasons a person might not graduate (i.e., medical issues) that could create real hardship with a sudden influx of ~$200k debt.

Maybe this is a pretty normal scholarship stipulation though -- not sure.

Nice! Any scholarship info with the letter, or is UW one of those schools where you have to wait until March? :|

Once you get accepted you get a link to apply for merit scholarship as well as the gates public service scholarship. So when you're accepted then you apply. But gates has a deadline of Jan 15th, so make sure to apply for that early - that app is open before acceptance.

Oh... That's weird. I think that makes UW the first school I've encountered where you're not considered for merit scholarships automatically upon application. Maybe that explains their relatively low scholarship numbers on mylsn.

Accepted today via email! Not sure if they tried to call - was traveling. So excited... Was waitlisted last year so this was such a relief. Congrats to all :)

Hey there! I went under review end of October. They took a little longer with my app for some reason. Got in yesterday.

Stats:
Lsat: 157
GPA: 3.4
Grad school GPA: 3.6
Not a URM (I think? Do women count in law? Probably not).
Although likely an important caveat to my application was that I was a Division 1 athlete so they were likely to look at my undergrad GPA slightly differently.

Checking in. Applied in November. Took the LSAT in October, but they are holding my app for review until my December score comes in.

My GPA is almost at 75%, my LSAT is almost at 50%. Why do you think they are holding my app? I feel based off my numbers it would be safe to go under review right now. When I think about how connected my PS is to UW, and my legal work experience in downtown Seattle, the fact that my app hasn't already gone under review is making me super worried!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
