I had assumed that 'ready for review' meant complete, but now I'm guessing it is equivalent to 'under review'?

Sorry if this has been brought up, but does anyone know if I can scan and email the scholarship application? I know it says to mail or fax but scanning would be so much easier and sometimes these forms have outdated language

Anyone know if Cornell offers scholarship to those who are accepted off the reserve list?

I was a late applicant and just received an interview request. This late in the game do you think that's a positive sign? Have interviews typically been for borderline candidates?

According to the school's website, "Cornell Law School awards over $4 million in institutional aid each year to new and returning students. Almost 50% of Law School students receive scholarship assistance."
Does the rest actually pay the sticker price? Much appreciated!

Re: Cornell Law School c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Well, tuition is a certain amount. The school's website says 50% receive scholarship assistance. That means 50% are not receiving scholarship assistance. Paying the tuition price without receiving scholarship assistance = paying sticker price. So...yes?DAFFODILS2019 wrote:According to the school's website, "Cornell Law School awards over $4 million in institutional aid each year to new and returning students. But do a bunch of people in that 50% have rich parents helping pay the sticker price for them? Probably.

Don't mean to stir the pot here, but someone I know was accepted off reserve without an interview. Was that the case for anyone else? :/

I was, too. They offered me admission, requested an interview afterwards (as a formality), and then called me again on Monday to thank me for my interview and once more confirm my admission. I received my official admission email on Monday afternoon.genericwit wrote:Don't mean to stir the pot here, but someone I know was accepted off reserve without an interview. Interesting to me. I had thought that you needed to interview. Did you accept, and mind if I ask your stats?Draconem wrote:I was, too. Edit: And wondering if you're any kind of URM? My friend's stats were <25%, but I'm wondering if it had to do with her being LGBT. Just curious.

I am waiting on scholarship info before deciding. My stats are below medians, and I'm not a URM. I am LGBT, but I don't think that factored into their decision.genericwit wrote:Interesting to me. You know, I actually think she's ORM - Asian. So... *scratches head* Maybe she just wrote the best personal statement that somehow spoke to the admissions folks? Or they're trying to fill a demographic otherwise.ls2k16 wrote:Was your friend otherwise non URM?genericwit wrote:Interesting to me. I had thought that you needed to interview. Either is possible, but it looks as though Cornell is taking quite a bit of people off of reserve this year (seems like comparatively more movement than last year). Which is weird because there's also relatively less movement at almost every other T14. *shrug*genericwit wrote:You know, I actually think she's ORM - Asian.
