In celebration of the hap-happiest season of all, a new poll's up! Also now tracking YLS acceptance call tweets  I credit Hildy and her Harvard JS1 wave records for inspiration.

Where's sleigh ride? :p
Only 10 options allowed in a poll.

But in all seriousness, completely forgot that one and probably would have replaced one of the songs up there with Sleigh Ride. Love that song.

I want to submit my app before the holidays, but I'm having a tough time writing the 250, so I want to give myself some more time on that.

I'd say this is as good a place as any. And I'm obviously not an expert on this. However, I can try to give my best shot. Because of YLS slow faculty review process, they don't quite have the same timeline as other schools. So you can definitely submit to YLS later than others without it being hugely detrimental to the application process. However, if you look at it logically, Yale does trickle out admissions throughout the cycle. As people are accepted, the available number of spaces get smaller and smaller. A 12 will probably have as good a shot in February as in October, but I think 11s who they like might be easier to get in if they apply early. I know several people with unbelievably high numbers and softs that actually make the traditional "super-softs" look average by comparison, but who applied in January/February and didn't make it in. So, yeah, I'm by no means an expert on this, but I personally would be uncomfortable applying in January or later.

Did anyone else get a call from YLS's main number today? I woke up to a missed call, with no voicemail. My friend also got a call with no voicemail, and when he tried to call the number back, wasn't able to get through to anyone.

Since there wasn't a tweet about admissions today, and there were no voicemails, I'm not quite sure what to make of this.

Out of curiosity, did you ever find out what the call was about?
