Thanks to everyone who has added stats. I'm hoping to have the rest up today.

I love that in most of these there's about a 50/50 split between average and above average softs and basically no one with below average softs.

It is extremely doubtful that all of your softs are as awesome as you think they are.

I found that interesting as well. I was hoping we would get a bell curve but figured we wouldn't :).

Ha yeah, agreed. It's probably the case that they're above average for the typical undergrad, but not above average for the typical T14 applicant.

Yeah, I just scrolled through, and eyeballing it, it looks like more than half of the K-JDs put "above average"

K-JDs: I promise you, you don't have above average softs.

Nah. People on TLS just have delusions of grandeur. It's especially true with regards to softs, because there isn't enough concrete data and judging the strengths of softs is pretty (read: entirely) subjective.

Maybe I should add definitions/guidelines/example for each level of softs. Any ideas? The levels are:

1. Highly unique
2. Above average
3. Average
4. Below average
5. Weak

Eh, I don't know that you can really define it. The only solid rule of thumb I can think of is that if you've spent your entire life in school, 99% of the time you don't have above average softs.

I don't really think that we need to go through the effort of making it more realistic, it's just funny to see people's wildly inflated self-assessments.

How do you input your info? Or is it purely LSN?

You can click on the "enter your stats here" tab and enter your stats there. It doesn't link to LSN.

Well, I feel silly but I see no such tab.

Admittedly I'm looking at it from my phone (not near a computer) but I see all three tabs when I open it. It could be a privacy setting perhaps. I won't be able to check that until I'm home. But there are about 10 people who have added stats so far, so it seems like it is functioning. What browser are you using?

Safari. There are no tabs for me, just a single page which i couldn't edit even if I wanted to.

I hadn't even checked Stanford. UVA and Duke were the two I looked at.

Edit: Also tried it on Chrome, still no dice.

You're the sexiest person on TLS right now, lawschool22. Thank you for making these.

I noticed this too. The Lake Wobegon effect in effect!

Haha thanks for the compliment. I just wanted to give back in some way as I was basically a lurker in the LSAT forum.

Also there seemed to be a need for something like this. Some of the other spreadsheets were good, but what's the point of recording the data if you don't learn from it? Also there needed to be more standardization of the available responses to make the data more useful.

Anyway, I'm glad people are enjoying them and I hope we continue to get more responses :)

Question to other TLSers: are any of you experiencing this issue of not being able to see the second tab? I can see it from my end but I want to make sure it's not a widespread issue.

Yes, but there would only be like five law schools without the powerful belief that more more than half of people can be above average.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
