Re: University of Washington C/O 2017 (2013-2014 Cycle)
"The Admissions Committee reviewed your application materials and made a favorable recommendation based on your strong academic and personal achievements."
Being waitlisted is not favorable.
"The Admissions Committee has all the information necessary to make its final decisions..."
And yet they've managed to avoid making a final decision, possibly putting it off until May. That's after some seat deposits are due.
I had a less than impressive visit earlier this year and I'm about ready to write UW off.

Rejected
GPA 25%
LSAT at median
Native Seattleite but out of state for 7 years.
Wrote the non-profit essay and a tailored PS.
I'm glad they didn't wait list me. They knew UW was my first choice and being waitlisted would've made my decision much more difficult.

Accepted 12/19
Applied 11/15 ED
UR 11/22
UW undergrad; history major
3.4 GPA
164 LSAT (10/5)
Strong work experience and references
I am new to this forum, but during the app process it was nice to read stats and results from all of you. Good luck to those waiting to hear back!
I already sent in my seat deposit and am really excited--can't wait to meet everyone who will be going this fall!

Anyone else applying for the Gates Scholarship? The more I research UW, the more I feel I would love to attend. Anyone else very PI oriented hoping for UW? I feel like they are super selective in general for applications, so I imagine even more so for the full scholarship.

Got my acceptance e-mail on Friday evening! UR 11/22, so it's great to have the decision.
I will certainly be applying. The deadline's the 15th, so I am going to try to finish that up this week.pcthenls wrote:Anyone else applying for the Gates Scholarship? I'm with you. I also just got invited to a "wine tasting" event with the Dean in SF. Anyone else in the Bay Area planning on attending? Sounds pretty fun!

Just got a fee waiver, might apply even though UW isn't known at all for being splitter friendly.

Looking at those who have received decisions from UW and posted their info on lawschoolnumbers.com, it seems like everyone in this cycle has heard back on a Friday (or Thursday). Cluster of people getting decisions on 12/13 (Friday), 12/19 (Thursday), and 1/3 (Friday). Here is the full list:

Anybody out-of-state applying here that's not looking to work in Seattle/California? As an east coaster, I'd be concerned that I'd have difficulty returning to my home region if I so elected.

In via email just a few minutes ago!
Anyone other admits heard about scholarship money? The email said I will receive a packet in the mail, has anyone who has gotten the packet gotten scholarship info in it?
