I have a 163 and 3.5, I would love to go to U of Washington, do you think I have a chance? Would applying ED boost my chance?

Based on straight numbers you would have to make sure you have a very solid app. Ed won't make you an auto accept but it will cost you the ability to negotiate scholarships or browse other schools if accepted. However, if you are dead set on uw and don't mind paying full price/have financial support then ed your little heart out.

So who's doing the supplemental statement, and what option are you choosing?

I definitely am, this is my first choice school and I am right on the bottom edge lsat/gpa wise (3.5/163). And in general the personal statement limit is pretty tough for u of w so I think taking advantage of the optional statement is a good idea. I was going to do the global common good option but I just wrote a rough draft for the "what life experiences/influence on character" option. anyone else?

Anyone mind posting their numbers? Worried I don't have a good chance/application fee isn't worth it.

Re: University of Washington C/O 2017 (2013-2014 Cycle)
You are below median in both categories but above 25th percentile, which means you are in the middle area where you are neither auto admit nor auto ding. As you've posted previously, you want to go to UW so apply. Make sure it's a tight application.
As for the rest of us, it's not really going to help you if we post numbers because at least three of us in this thread are splitter veterans which means we are in for an unpredictable cycle. That being said, UW tends to like GPAs.

From what I understand, there's also a pretty significant boost to in-state applicants...which I am not.

Doesn't really seem like they give out many scholarships, does it? At least according to LSN. Tuition is a tad cheaper than most private schools, but still...

Yeah, they are stingy which seems odd for a school so closely associated with Bill Gates. They don't even have a yrp.

Thanks for sharing your insights!
Are you paying sticker? What does the scholarship situation tend to look like?
The 2016 thread (what I read of it) and LSN give me the impression UW has a very "unique" admissions cycle... Could you speak in general about what you've heard/your experience?
