Did anyone who got an interest call (and confirmed that they were still interested) not get an offer? Just curious...

Money is based on a formula based completely on your #'s. So yes, people are getting $$ off the waitlist

So I have been lurking on this page for a week or so now and I just wanted to give everyone an update on the admissions office.

I got an interest call on Thursday and an offer today! I also got a letter in the mail a few minutes later dated June 15.

Good luck to everyone!

Congrats! I didn't hear anything from my call on Friday, so hoping for tomorrow!

I opened up a spot and lots of money. I hope somebody here benefits from it.

Thanks! We appreciate that. Or at least I do.

In other news, did everyone see the update on the FAQ page?

Our second deposit deadline of June 15 has now passed, and with the exception of a handful of people to whom we have given extensions, we have a pretty firm sense of how our incoming class is shaping up. While we have an almost-full cohort at the moment, we know that a number of other schools are still admitting heavily from their waitlists, and we have therefore decided to make about ten offers in anticipation of more volatility. We appreciate the updated information that many have you provided, as well as your continued patience.

The question is: do those ten spots included the interest calls and offers that went out last week/Monday? Or are these ten additional? Here's to hoping it's the latter!

I hope that it means 10 additional (so you guys get it!), but also that my acceptance call/email will come. Could I have answered the interest call questions that poorly?

I'm so sorry, adika.

That's a rough place to be... I hope you get that call! And that another ten of us do as well. Including me. :P

I only received an email asking about my interest. It was a couple of weeks ago. Should I be worried that I haven't received an interest call? They know I'm very interested, as I've sent a few emails over the past 2 months indicating that.

Do people receive offers without first receiving Interest calls? How much longer do people predict this round of 10 offers will last before I have to dial back my optimistic hope?

If it's the email that I'm thinking of, then everybody who was on the waitlist received it.

That's what I figured. Do they only make those interest calls to candidates they are serious about? And in that vein, if they don't make an interest call, are they not seriously considering that candidate?

Just trying to figure out how much hope to have when I still haven't received a call like that and it sounds like the offers are already going out... Any thoughts?

From the NLJ article "It's a Buyers Market at Law School" (http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNLJ.jsp?id=1202560485444&thepage=2)

Quote:
Even though Michigan increased its acceptance rate this year from the traditional one in five applicants to one in four, its incoming class still may end up slightly smaller than last year, [Dean Z] said.

So Mich bumped up their acceptance rate and cut their class and we STILL can't get in. I'll meet everyone at the nearest bridge...

I'll keep an eye out for ya, Fortuna. I'll be the one holding Getting to Maybe wearing the "I applied to law school and all I got was this lousy self-esteem" t-shirt.

hey all--semi-lurker here. I got an interest call last friday and got an offer this morning. I didn't really do anything other than send two LOCIs early this year.

I think its safe to say that they're all still updating every day. Just like they've been this whole time.

Hey all!

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, been a hectic few weeks. I requested and was granted a deferral a few weeks back. I'm incredibly excited to be a part of next years class, and I hope that some of you reapply next cycle or request a deferral if you don't get in this year so we can all hang out next year!

But don't give up! As the poster above me just withdrew, there are still spots to be had for those who stick it out! Best of luck to you all!
