To be honest, every time I look at my status checker and see "complete," I'm kind of relieved. I've gotten to the point where I'm half-way convinced that I'm an auto-reject everywhere, which, of course, isn't true...... lol. Basically, I haven't gotten annoyed at the waiting yet!

Ouch...that kind of stings.
Shut up! Really? I didn't even know they did that.

Wut?

ETA: Did anything change? Were you going to start in the summer and switched to fall term or something? Or did you literally do nothing and your financial aid has changed?

How did they even get your fall semester grades? I'm assuming the only way they can get that info is if you send them another transcript. But then if your gpa dropped that wouldn't make sense to send it...slightly confused by this.

I know...I'm a little bit disappointed but then again most people with my numbers usually get $54,000 anyway.

That seems a little harsh, I'm sorry to hear that! It seems like if they commit to giving you a certain amount of money, they should stick by it, unless your grades went WAY down. Which they didn't. :/

Not to beat a dead horse, but scholarship info comes out around 2 weeks after the acceptance, right? Or is it 2 weeks after we get the letter in the mail? It's been 9 days since my status checker changed and it still says "zero awards found." I'm 170/3.55...I feel pretty lucky to even have gotten into Michigan, so what do you guys think about my scholarship chances?

I'm sure you'll get money. Scholarships show up right around day 14 so don't worry.

Hang in there. I'd be willing to bet my left nut that you'll get monies from Michigan...

The grade drop is the only thing I can think of. Didn't send anything else to Michigan.
For the ABA, it's not a drop... They round to one decimal point. So, for reporting purposes, you'd be the same.

I doubt they would change their scholarship that much because of a tiny grade change. I'm very surprised that they would reduce your scholarship award at all. If I were you I would contact someone in admissions and ask about it.

My Academic Summary Report carried it to two decimal points. Are are you talking about something different?

Lol at you people who've been waiting less than three months.

Middle of October. The Michigan charm is wearing off.

MikeTheWilliams: Yes. I was referring to the fact that, for reporting purposes (to the ABA, specifically), the GPA is rounded to one decimal place. So, a 3.75 and a 3.84 both get reported as 3.8.

Have had my status checker for less than 2 weeks and already had my first anxiety-induced breakdown last night. I have a feeling that I'll be doing more hyperventilating this spring than the rest of my life combined.

It just doesn't make sense, given how Michigan awards scholly's, that they would ever lower a scholly amount. If there were ever a material change, unlikely, but maybe. But a 0.01 change in GPA is not material. Michigan does not appear to be so petty as to actively look for a reason to reduce scholly amounts they've offered in good faith.
