Yeah, this is interesting. It's actually still a bit early isn't it? I thought "late May" meant the end of May, but it looks like they mean "just after mid May".

Things will shake up after the second deposit.. so I guess that means we can expect WL action for a while.

I hate to be the one who does this, but stats please? Is CLS short on LSAT or GPA? URM or non-URM? Anything else to note about the people getting pulled? Thanks in advance!

If I were these applicants being considered off the waitlist, I would be too paranoid to post stats. The committee is easily dealing with a very small number of applicants, so it would be very easy to identify who they are if stats are posted.

In the end, the committee probably wouldn't care, but then again why open yourself up to anything that could potentially hurt your candidacy.

Sorry about the lack of discretion; yes, you are of course right that those individuals would do best to post here after getting an offer of admission.

Due to my interests and amazing institutional support/generous funding for research, Columbia has been my first choice since last cycle. I applied ED this time with a higher LSAT only to be deferred and reserved yet again. Moreover, I don't really have any other compelling offer of admission or scholarship, so I'm more than a bit concerned...

Hey all, I was just admitted after having a conversation with the Dean a few days ago. It looks like there is hope for the reserve pool, good luck to all of you!

Wow congratulations! :D Did you send in a LOCI? How did you get to talk to the Dean?

I got an email a few days ago about talking to a member of the selection committee. They happened to schedule me to speak with the Dean of Admissions, Nkonye Iwerebon. I hadn't sent in a LOCI or anything else. I really didn't anticipate getting in, so this was a total shock. My LSAT is below/at their 25th, my GPA is above their 75th, but I have strong softs.

On my LOCI I said thanks for placing me on the waitlist instead of "reserve." Should that little mistake make a difference? I hope that's not a huge typo. I also dated it April instead of May....ugh

Hi all, sorry if this has already been discussed, but does an additional LOR have to go through LSAC, or can we just have the recommender send it directly to CLS? What have people been doing in regards to this? Thanks!!

Asking if I'm still interested and if I'd like to talk for 15 minutes

I'm probably outing myself, but I was interview->admit. I withdrew, though. As much as I really wanted to go, I couldn't stomach the debt.
