Not my cat.
I used to have a gorgeous Russian blue though. He was sweet.

GPA: 3.4 , LSAT 168
URM: No
Got into USC off the waitlist! Sent in my application in early November.
Optional Essay: No.
I think my work experience and science degree gave me that little extra push.

Originally posted about GULC, but I'll add this:
GPA: 3.7 , LSAT 167
URM: N
Cornell
Optional Essay: LGBT DS / no "why Cornell" except for the question on app that asks / "why Cornell" included in LOCI after being held
What helped: HYP undergrad? 4 years WE (2 being public interest related)? 3 solid LOR?
Submitted late November, held late April, LOCI in May, accepted early June
Chose BU due to scholarship

It's funny how today 3.7/167 is median at Cornell and it would probably not be considered a reach anymore.

I considered making a new thread but I don't personally have an applicable reach yet. I am more interested in seeing other people in the current cycle who have gotten into a "reach school".

I got into UVA with a 2.98 LSAC GPA, 3.03 from my school, and a 170.
I think my work experience, family background, and notoriously difficult undergrad is what put me over.

I'm guessing USAFA? Congrats, and also glad to hear it for myself since I have a 3.0 from West Point.

I have no idea what made the difference. I do have some solid work experience and decent personal statement tailored to government work. I also interviewed and I assume that helped.

GPA: 3.47 , LSAT 167
URM: Yes.
NAME OF REACH SCHOOL(S): UVA, Georgetown, and UCLA
Optional Essay: No. However I wrote a GPA addendum explaining my poor performance my first year.
I sent my applications in September.
Why? I spent about 4 or 5 months making my PS great, my softs are good (volunteer experience and work experience in the legal field despite being a KJD), and I have had a genuine interest in law since childhood which was reflected in my PS, resume, and course choices.

Finally, what you think (totally subjective) got you into that school: 2 years of work experience in insurance and 3 decent letters of rec ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Note: Holding out on some others and dying of anxiety.
Congrats!! WUSTL is the one I'm waiting on most

GPA: 3.4 , LSAT 172
URM: No
NAME OF REACH SCHOOL(S): Columbia
Optional Essay: Nope
Why?: I am guessing it was my background of engineering undergrad, with also taking a bunch of law and business classes. Strange combo for someone. Also two years WE in emerging tech. Also, maybe they just felt bad for me? I don't honestly know.

So anyone else get into their reach schools within the last month or so? I've been on the ding train with every reach so far, with not even a single WL from any of them.
