It's not exceptionally clear in the OP. My bad.
You are photocopying the LGs from the "10 LSAT" series and any other tests besides the final 10 and the Official SuperPrep tests, which you take in their entirety.

Re: Pithypike's Complete LSAT Study Guide
Upon dealing with the superprep prep test A today, I saw many common and easily fixable errors. I went back to my lessons from powerscore and pretty much lived through the lessons. I dont think that I have a lack of question type know how. But my studies were not timed because i wanted to learn in detail. Now and till exam day, I will be and stay times. Let me know what you think.
LR1- got anxious because of timed factored, freaked and lost accuracty. + 11 and -9. ALmostall my mistakes were from flying through the answer choices and not seeing the implications or effect of each choice onto my stimulis. This is also called lsat suicide.
LR2 - less anxious and more accurate but not where i need to be. +12 and -6 Again if I slowed down to see the choices more clearly my mistakes would have been mitigated.
I am not really impressed with the superprep explanations but they are not that bad. After review of the choices and explanations, I am stuck with the question of "why didn't I see that as the correct choice?". I dont think I need to explain my frustrations here and bet there is some common ground here.
On the brighter side, I am getting much better at the games and they are becoming less puzzling. If I can do grouping games and andvanced linear with grouping game combinations, anyone else here can easily master the section.
RC- is hurting in the same sense of LR. I am a bit slow and usually messing up with inference or aka MUST BE TRUE questions.
To remedy all this, I bought the full package from LSAT ALL STAR and hope it will help. I am going to take an exam a day (section by section) and live through the explanations to see what the errors were. I will try to make a log of my common mistakes and hope to remedy them. I dont want to study in the wrong manner and need to study in the smartes way possible. ANy suggestions?

Okay, cool; I actually realized this today and managed to sort and flag all the relevant questions. Now it's time to head down to Kinko's... This system sounds great though, and obviously worked out for you. Thanks again.

Does the logic games ultimate setups book cover anything from the superprep games? Sounds like a dumb question but I cant seem to find the exam number since it says "preptest A". What am i supposed to do with that?
Yes, I did and redid all the games from the logic games bibles and it helps out a lot.

Search for Kaplan's "Big Orange Book of LSATS" on Amazon...I purchased it and I hear it is virtually the same except the material is in a different order.R.X. Narcs wrote:IDK whats up. I'm having trouble finding a copy of the Kaplan Mastery book.

Found 'em here. I grabbed a perfect copy for $30, but Listing #3 has a decent copy available for around $10 - good call! I hadn't even thought of the Orange book since Kaplan doesn't make it anymore.

ok so is this big orange book the same as the lsat kaplan mastery book? There is a book like this and it goes through each question type from beginning to higher difficulty. Book is split into rc and lr. Now im curious

anyone...
I ordered both the PS Logic Games Bible and the PS LR Bible off of Amazon...well, Amazon does not carry the LR any more.
any ideas on how to get ahold of the PS LR?
Has anyone used the PS RC Bible that just came out in December yet?
thx

Re: Pithypike's Complete LSAT Study Guide
I've started this guide exactly. I am taking the September test and my timed diagnostic was a 157 (a 162 on the second timed diagnostic after getting a feel for the questions but with almost no prep).
We'll see how much improvement I see between now and the exam. Thanks PithyPike!

Pithypike, I have a question. After doing 3 LG's for the first time, do you check your answers with the answer sheet, or check them after your second and third time?

Re: Pithypike's Complete LSAT Study Guide
A valid point, but, for me at least, completing full LR sections during the 2nd month prevented any decay of the skill set developed while focusing on specific types of problems.Fiction wrote:I'm taking the LSAT in June, so I'll tell you then how I performed, but I have to throw in a little issue I had with this study plan, which I abandoned eventually. My problem is simply that it leaves too wide of a gap between test types. You spend a month on Grouping and you have forgotten all of your Linear skills. You focus super hard on Parallel Reasoning and forget the best way to do Assumption questions.
The rest of your post is solid.

Re: Pithypike's Complete LSAT Study Guide
You want the Mastery Practice Book, not Mastery Homework.
There are two reasonably-priced copies of the 2008 edition of Mastery Practice left on Amazon here.
For all results, see Kaplan LSAT Mastery Practice on Amazon.

Re: Pithypike's Complete LSAT Study Guide
Hey Everyone,
First of all good luck on the upcoming LSAT! I am trying to study closely to Pithypike's study guide.
But, I have one problem... I have 4 months to do this stuff in, below is my setup based off his. I don't want to study too early and be rusty when I go into the LSAT. What would you suggest I do during the 4th month, shown below with questions marks??
LGB - 9 Chapters
LRB - 20 Chapters
RC - 20 (10 untimed sections / 10 timed sections)
PTs - 13 (1 in first month / 2 in second month / 10 in third)
Month 1 < May 17th - June 17th > LGB (Chapt. 1-3); LRB (Chapt. 1-13); RC
(10 untimed sections); PrepTest A
Month 2 < June 17th - July 17th > LGB (Chapt. 4-9); LRB (Chapt. 14-20); RC
(10 times sections) PrepTest B + C
Month 3 < July 17th - August 17th > 10 PrepTests timed
?? Month 4 < August 17th - Sept. 29th (Test Day) > ??

Re: Pithypike's Complete LSAT Study Guide
I’m thinking of doing something very similar to this study guide over the summer in preparation for the September LSAT. I already have several practice tests from a power score book. Does anyone mind telling me exactly what tests are included in each of the “10 more lsat” books? I would loath to spend money on practice test that I’m already in possession of.
Thank you for the guide as well Pithypike it is very thorough.

Re: Pithypike's Complete LSAT Study Guide
Thank you. Do you happen to know what tests are covered in all the books?
1) 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests: ?? (guessing 1-10)
2) 10 More Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests: PT19-28
3) The Next 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTest: ?? (guessing 11-18 and two more out of sequence)
Is there a website that list what each PT is correlated to (i.e. PT 1 = February 1996 – not saying this is valid, just using it to illustrate).
For the sake of expedience does anyone know what the last 10 released lsats are? The ones that Pithypike suggest we take in full the month preceding the test.
