Someone said it in a thread a month or so ago, all the practice in the world can't prep you for morale failure. It's when you hit a road bump on the actual LSAT and have that mini panic attack that you may not be doing as well as you planned. It's hard to keep focus after that.

This time around I got a 164, PT's were (161, 164, 170, 164, 167)

I feel the same way. I don't even remember much of the test, it's like I just went in there and something came over me and I just, did what I had trained to do.

My score was the same as my PT average.

I was scoring anywhere from 159 to 166 on practice tests... averaging in the 162 area. Before test day I took 5 days off of studying. Game day score of 169. So I couldn't be happier with the result.

14 PTs from 158-170 (last 5 162-170).

Actual: 166

After the post-test desperation, I actually started to feel really good about the test as yesterday approached. Thought 170+ might have happened. Just went back to my spreadsheet, though, and found my 166 hit the high end of 1 std dev. Would have had to go >2 std devs to get to 170 (so possible, but not likely). Darned statistics...I hate it when they're right. :-)

Happy enough where I'm at-- at last year's 75%ile for W&M. That and WE should compensate for a bit of a split (3.46 UGPA/~25%ile)

Edit: BTW, stupid Talk-Stories....4 of my -14 were on that one RC. Ouch

practice average - 165-6 (range of 162 to 169)

actual - 170

for me, it was all about the way you felt on test day. i was extremely awake and positive, joking around with people before the test, having a good time and doing my best -- so i scored on the high end of my practices.

About 15 tests (all timed) in the 166-169 range. Probably hit 169 about 8 of those 15. 1 was a 173 (combining timed individual sections) and my first full timed was 159 back in June (when I decided to postpone).

Walked out of the test feeling great.

As the weeks passed I was praying to hit my range, scared I whiffed.

171

Can't explain it other than that the stars aligned. Perfect arrangement of sections for me. Very pleased.

Averaging my last 5 tests, I scored 159, 160, 164, 162, 167 = 162.4

I scored a 163 on test day, but I think with a little prep I could have easily scored over 165.

Yuuuuup. Dropped 3 points, but I don't think thats worth re-testing over. Time to send out some apps and get in on some action !!!

Does anyone else stalk the website LawSchoolNumbers.com ?? Based on their graphs, assuming people aren't giving fake info, it looks like a lot of people with numbers lower than you would expect get into some good schools. Anyone thoughts?

Same here, only I was so nervous that my score dipped substantially. Just stay calm, and take the pressure off and you'll be fine. I learned my lesson!! On the upside for me, I'm going to law school, and if I don't get into the school I want, life will go on.

practice range: 168-171 (really tight band). Highest, 173. Last 3 exams before test day were 169, 170, 170.

test day: 167, oh well.

Went -5 on one LR section. Way off of practice average (-2)

I experienced large fluctuations in my scores (167-179 range). I think this can be attributed to switching back and forth between older and newer tests, because on older tests I averaged almost 4 points higher.

With that said, my average over the last 30 PTs was about 172.

On the October administration I scored 174.

Highest (timed) practice test was a 158.

Got a 160 on the real thing.

I averaged a 168 on my practice exams. On the Oct 08 exam I actually got a 165, but the "deviation bracket" my score was included in [162 - 168] meant I was pretty close to my average.

In case you were wondering, the bracket is LSAC estimating what range of scores you would get if you retook the exam given your actual score.
