For those of you who did well on the logic games section, how long did you spend on your setup for a given game before getting to the questions?

This can vary. There's no hard fast rule. What's most important is that your set-up allows you to make additional inferences. For most games there will be several inferences you can make. Some games will be front-end, meaning you can make a lot of inferences in your set-up that will allow you to quickly answer questions. Other games will be back-end, meaning the information from your diagram will be very limited and you will have to do a lot of work on the questions with the new information they give you. You want to work on becoming very fast at diagramming. This is going to require you to make inferences quickly. In the beginning, you want to focus on accuracy. Don't worry about how long it's taking you to do a game. Use the 7-Sage Foolproof Method. After doing a ton of games, you will become better at determining when it is worth doing multiple diagrams for a game.
