I'm finding it really hard to find motivation for this retake. Ugh.

I'm waiting out this cycle so that my gf and I can move together once she finishes nursing school!Mikey wrote:Barry do u really think you will need to retake, bro? u already have a good score from sept and I'm sure you improved for December!
*I'm also enjoying the extra time before getting locked into the full time school/career track
Until then I don't mind retaking

I was PT-ing in the high 160s low 170s before the December LSAT and had an incredibly bad test-day.
I'm wondering how February looks for this current cycle. Does it lower my chances substantially? I'm worried that it may be better just to go with whatever score I get from December and use the fee waivers currently available to me.

Checking in!
This will be my first LSAT I'll take and I plan on applying this cycle. I know, extremely late. But I will try to use that as motivation to study even harder in knowing that I need to score really high. Anyone in the same scenario as me?
Got all my study prep ready and will start studying today. Logical Reasoning Bible will be what I tackle first. Actually looking forward to it lol.
Good luck to everyone taking the test!

My first time taking it as well and I also plan on applying this cycle. We'll just have to kick some ass. Or a lot.ReturnToInnocence wrote:Checking in!

Re: The Official February 2018 Study Group
May I ask why? A lot of schools wont even take Feb scores and even for the ones that do it is significantly harder to get in than it is if you apply earlier on. Studying hard and getting a really high score is great but if schools wont even look at it until the next cycle you may be severely hamstrung.ReturnToInnocence wrote:Checking in!

Ya you should rethink. This cycle is so competitive that showing up that late to the party is disasterous. Join me for next cycle.

Ummm. yea, for the two that are applying this cycle with Feb as the first score you're shooting yourselves in the foot. A lot of the T14 schools require a score prior to Feb in order to ask them to consider a Feb score. Plus applying that late means limited seats left. You're much better off delaying until next year's cycle and applying on Day 1.

I feel the same way but I'm already annoyed at being home and not in school. I also feel stuck in life right now tooOzymandiastheWindhov wrote:I was PT-ing in the high 160s low 170s before the December LSAT and had an incredibly bad test-day.

If you think the score you’re waiting on (december) won’t meet the minimum requirement, should you apply with that score just so your app isn’t late? Or should I register for february and score higher?PrezRand wrote:U have to register before u get ur resultssaffles wrote:To December Waiters: Did you guys already register for February or are y’all waiting until you get your grades?

I think the way it works is you apply now with the score you have and email the schools you are applying to about the feb test. Tell them that you would like for them to hold off on the final decision on your application until after feb scoressaffles wrote:If you think the score you’re waiting on (december) won’t meet the minimum requirement, should you apply with that score just so your app isn’t late? Scored my first perfect LG section today. An indivual section, not on a PT, but felt good regardless.

Pleasantly surprised by my December 2017 showing.
I don’t want to fall into complacency, but I am very, very much looking forward to February.
