Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
Also had LR-LG-LR-LR-RC.
I'm not sure which LR was experimental, but the third LR felt the easiest (had time for a 3 min run to the restroom at the end) while the other two felt normal/slightly above normal.
RC felt hard as someone who doesn't like going more than -2 on RC. Judges was brutal, time was a factor on the last one.
LG felt pretty easy. Took 9-10 minutes on game 1 and was a bit concerned about timing, but a good amount of the answers were evident by mental inferences or very quick diagramming.

Fuck the judges passage with a rusty fork. That was absurd.

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
If someone told me I got every question wrong from the experimental RC I would be tempted to believe them I was so relieved when I got a second RC section after that performance.
The real RC seemed decently average with the exception of the law passage. I had no clue what was going on within that. Unsure of how I did with LR, had to guess on that last MBT question due to running out of time and because I don't know how to read fucking hieroglyphics.
Guess we wait it out since I have literally no idea how I did. Confident in -0 LG though, that was literally the easiest passage I've ever done. Had 15+ minutes left

Overall betting on a -10 curve. LG easier then normal; LR normal; RC one brutal passage but overall only above average difficulty.

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
Well RC definitely destroyed any dreams of 180... and maybe 170.
Absolutely crushed. I was not expecting to not finish the section before the timer in some time but that damn five minute marker went off with 3 Q's left in 3rd passage. !st passage was tough, 3rd was unreal. I have no clue about 4th since I just scanned and hit Q's. Probably missed all those questions and who knows how many others before it.
That section definitely felt like fighting bowser: came in spitting fireballs and came out 2 feet tall.

One of the 25 LR's was extremely difficult.RSolano wrote:There were def several tough LR questions in each section, I had three sections of LR and found them all pretty equal (unlike what I'm hearing about the difficulty difference in LG sections for those who had it as an experimental).

Does anyone remember a LR question about physical therapists vs. GP's for effectiveness of treatment? Real or not real? I had 3 LR's.

Real was tough but my experimental was brutal, AND it was the first section so it shook my confidence a little.

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
disclaimer: I did not take today's test
Based on the posts I've seen thus far, I bet you see -9 curve +/-1
The sentiment so far feels very similar to how we felt after June (easy LG, some people said RC was super hard, some said only 1 passage was, slightly above average LR)

Newbie question, what does curve mean in terms of scaled score?Future Ex-Engineer wrote:disclaimer: I did not take today's test

It is theoretically the most # of questions you could get wrong for a 170S0L0 wrote:Newbie question, what does curve mean in terms of scaled score?Future Ex-Engineer wrote:disclaimer: I did not take today's test

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
"Curve" refers to how many you can get wrong and still score 170. Easier test have less forgiving curves, such as -9 for 170. Hard tests have -12, even -13 or -14 for a 170.S0L0 wrote:Newbie question, what does curve mean in terms of scaled score?Future Ex-Engineer wrote:disclaimer: I did not take today's test

I fucked up that third logic game badly. Definitely missed one, maybe more on that. Then was stretched for time on the last one, one or two of those ended up pretty iffy too.

I don't think it'll be -9, I'm feeling -10 and really hoping for -11. Though games were easy many people in my test group were compiling about them and it seemed the nature and types of games could have messed with people. Based on the differences between these games and June I'm think -10 is much more likely than -9.

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
I legit had time to do every LG twice to be sure. Has to be the easiest LG section, and I've seen them all. LR went pretty good too. RC totally fucked me. I had LR LG LR LR RC and was thinking high, high 170s before that damned RC.

The games were easy but the first game seemed the most difficult. Idk if I just needed to get in the groove of it but I skipped it then came back and still had ~5 minutes to review

Re: September 2017 Waiter's Thread
The first judges passage made me think that section had to be experimental, it was just so ridiculously dense. Realized like 4 questions in I'd totally misinterpreted it and had to go back.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
