PT 81

Post by lawschoolgirl312 » Tue Sep 05, 2017 2:31 pm

anyone take that and just got owned because of the scale? and RC?

I scored around my usual 89-90 raw score...but this scale was insane. What are some people's thoughts that the September scale might be just as brutal??

Hard to tell what the score is. But if I had to take a wild guess I'd say maybe -11.

PT 81 was def a hard one. For me RC was rough, LR owned me a bit for some reason and LG was easy.

that was the June test right?

if so, yeah, the scale of -9 was dumb.

Altogether though, not a terribly difficult test

-9 scale because it wasn't that difficult.

I averaged 172.5 (-8 miss average) on my previous 20 before taking june live. I missed 8. ended with a 171. Normally I would go -0 on games. I went -2 because I was careless. That would have given me -6 for a 173. That would have lined up perfectly with my average. Seems fair

should I be worried because I thought this test was difficult? I usually PT around 170 but this time, I only get a 165

What does around 170 mean? I would check what another poster said, I'm thinking a 165 is -15 on PT81, so if you usually get 13-15 wrong per test (which would be a 168-171 range), then you really didn't under-perform. Your weaknesses may have just been more exposed on that exam. Don't dwell on it, figure out where you're lacking and use these last 10 days to fix it! :)

The easy LG is the real killer on this test. It's the reason the scale is awful, and I think most of us would have exchanged the easy LG for an easy LR or RC. I went -2 on RC in June but LR hurt me, went a combined -8.

This thread is making me feel better because I took PT 81 today, and found the RC exceptionally hard and the LG exceptionally easy. I found the RC on PT 80 hard too for some reason... here's hoping the LSAC lightens up in load on RC next weekend!

This was dumb. First 169 in forever. RC was hard. Glad didn't take the June LSAT though. :D

I was so mad about this test. I lost 6 points on RC due to timing issues which, with a normal curve wouldn't have been as bad. Ended up with -11 and 168
