Conditional and Parallel Reasoning?

Post by polisciguy123 » Thu Aug 31, 2017 12:26 pm

It took me a while but I am scoring -3 to -6 on each of the last few LR sections I've taken. Total is -6 to -12, which isn't bad to me, but I'm struggling with conditional and parallel reasoning. The timing gets to me and I tend to just skip over PR and the conditional I usually just get wrong.
Pretty much, I get confused on the passage itself. Any tips on understanding it better?

Thanks!

Hmm... seems like you may be the kind of person who can diagram these types of stimuli with close to 100% accuracy when untimed, but during timed conditions, you try to keep the conditional info in your head. Try putting pen to paper when faced with a formal logic stimulus under timed conditions during timed practice or a test. Surprisingly, you might find it a bit faster and definitely more accurate. I personally used to stare at a stimulus like a deer in headlights until the structure was fixed in my mind, but that costs a shit load of time and subjects you to mental error.
