About postponing to December exam

Post by jinyoon92 » Mon Aug 07, 2017 10:22 am

Hello everyone!
I need some advice from more veteran people about LSAT exam.

I work full-time (almost 40-45 hours per week).
I decided to study for LSAT from July thinking 2-3 months should be enough.
I studied about 20-30 hours per week, which is about 3-5 hours per day.

However, I saw almost zero improvements except for logic games and now I am lost.

So, I am thinking about delaying my September exam to December.
Would I still have enough time to enroll in the 2018 Fall for most schools? (I have never taken LSAT before)
Or should I just take the September one as a practice and take December one again?

I would love to go to Top 20 schools in the US, but I am not sure whether it would look bad if I canceled my grade or something.

Thank you very much!
I look forward to people's comments

I would definitely not approach the September test as a "practice." Have you taken a full timed PT yet? If you're PT'ing in the realm of a score you'd be happy with when the test rolls around, then go ahead in September. Otherwise, I'd wait until December. That will still give you time to apply. I also wouldn't sweat not seeing much improvement yet, you're only one month in. That said, you're putting in a lot of hours and you want to make sure you're using your time effectively. How are you approaching your studying? Books? Courses?
