how early is too early to start studying

Post by Shelby » Tue Jul 18, 2017 9:36 pm

I'll be a junior in the fall and plan on taking the next June LSAT. i know i will not have a lot of spare time to focus on the LSAT in the months leading up to the test (I'm a student athlete who plays basketball, our season runs from October to March and longer if playoffs are involved), so I was planning to start now.

Is that too early? I don't want to be burned out when the actual test comes up

I'm sure other people have asked similar questions in this forum, I'm new and couldn't find them but if anyone has a place to point me it would be appreciated

I would echo what was already mentioned above and say that as long as it does not interfere with your GPA, start studying as early as you can. Given that you'll be studying LSAT while also studying for school and apparently involved in sports, I would not get too dead set on June. You'll have September 2018 as well. I know taking in June is ideal, but September would give you the entire summer after school and sports season to study hard core.

In the event that you stay firm on taking in June, try to make sure you're looking at the material as much as you can throughout the week. Maybe design your class schedule to allow for you to be able to sufficiently PT and BR throughout the week. Good luck!

Yeah, definitely start and pickup the general idea of how to answer the questions and the timing and stuff. It's better to start early and slow than late and fast
