Congratulations!! And you are going to kill it in decemberlittlewing67 wrote:First admit today into W&M! This is such a confidence booster and motivates me to kill it in December so there are more acceptances to come! I haven't been strictly following my PT 3 x a week schedule and have been doing mostly drills, and trying to finish this Manhattan book. They are retakes anyways so not sure how helpful they will be.

Taking PT61 this morning. Planning on BRing this evening as well because tomorrow and sat I will be on a short hiatus won't have time to truly dedicate to studying. Initially i was stressed about the two days off, but I havent taken one off in a while so can def use the recharge!

Are yall gonna change your study methods the week of the exam? Finally consistently hitting low 170's on my practice tests(Admittedly they are older exams I have been forced to use after running out of material) but I'm considering just drilling once I get to the week of the exam so I don't fuck up my confidence with a bad pt.

Re: The Official December 2017 Study Group
Drilling, under test conditions, every day alternating between LR+LG and LR+RC so I basically do a test every two days. I'm taking 81 and 82 the next two weekends since they will probably be the closest to what we can expect for December. Not sure how I'll adjust based on that... I've got Wed-Friday off before the test so I may put in some extra push there. I'm averaging -10 on tests regardless of what the 170 curve is so I'll be working with my tutor to figure out what I can do to bring that down over the next two Sundays...beancounter15 wrote:Are yall gonna change your study methods the week of the exam? Pretty pumped about my PT today!
PT 61 174
RC: -4 (-2)
LR: -3 (-1)
LG-0
LR: -0 (super stoked about this!)
I feel like one issue with my LR is im under-confident in some questions leading me to make stupid mistakes and i think a two-day break tomorrow and sat will free my mind and ill stop overthinking stupid questions. For ex, i got #2 wrong on LR 1,and of the other 2 i think I selected an answer choice that on 7sage said 1% of ppl choose it and the correct answer was ~84%, and the other one was a genuine wrong answer. I also didnt warmup today at all because i woke up late so that def impeded on my performance, but i feel like if i can crush this hard on a sub-par day (feeling wise) ill be good to go.

PT 49
LR1: -6 O.O
RC: -0
LG: -0
LR2: -3
Overall: 171
Does anyone feel like the more you drill, the more prone you are to overthinking and missing simpler questions? I feel like I have a better understanding of the LR questions and how to approach them, but now I'm starting to overthink some answer choices. If you guys had this experience, how did you improve on it?

Yeah taking a few days off when I get to this point does wonders for me. Also trusting your gut unless you can find a definite flaw in your answer choice prevents me from picking the wrong answer choice just from overthinking.lemon_lyman wrote:PT 49

Yea, I've definitely fallen into the overthinking things here and there in the first 12 questions which burns too much time. Not sure how to combat that...Rupert Pupkin wrote:Im in the same boat.
