June Retakers Study Group

Post by Walliums » Thu Jul 06, 2017 6:10 pm

This is the "official" study group for retakers from June.

Review sessions
We have begun hosting review sessions on Slack. For calendar updates and more details on the review sessions, please join us on Slack. I'm too lazy to update this all the time.

Slack
@Puppers has kindly put together a Slack for the retakers group. It's a good place for us to chat, centralize our documents, house strategies, etc.
For an invitation to Slack, please send an email to juneretakers@gmail.com. You can use your personal email or a disposable email - your choice! While most frequent discussion will happen on Slack, we will still post updates to this group.

Study Partner Survey
If you filled out the study partner survey, you should have received an email to with details about your study group. Send any questions to juneretakers@gmail.com.

Resources (please post any you want to share and I will add them):

Could be nice to have a group of retakers who were disappointed in June, adds a bit more motivation.

I'm a longtime lurker of the June waiters forum, and I also underperformed my PT by quite a bit (166 actual, PT-ing from 171-173) and I'd find it motivating I think.

This. Since I have no life during the summer I can "contribute" some "knowledge."

Not disappointed with my 168 per se but know I can do better so will most likely retake. Planning on deciding for sure this weekend.

If I do I will definitely need the extra motivation!

So glad to hear there is so much interest! When is everyone aiming for taking? My plan right now is to shoot for September. Ultimate goal is to get my target score 170+ but I'll likely apply with a high 160s if I get it and then take December/Feb if needed for scholarship.

Let me see if I can figure out the whole poll dealio!

I have a good/bad problem in that I missed questions pretty equally in all four sections, but given the easiness of the LG section on the June test and my historical weakness there in PTs my gut is to double down on LG first

Fuck me I'm already talking like I'm retaking I guess I should just pull the trigger huh

Retaking in September... hoping for 172+. Super bummed about my 168 this round just because I was so sure I had hit 170+.
I'm a little nervous for how LG will go for the September test...

You should watch 7sage videos because they're amazing.
I used the Bible and I didn't like it so much, I found its methods much more confusing than the methods used by 7sage. I just ordered the Trainer and it's coming Saturday.
