That one was pretty great, I skimmed it the other day! Deybri is pretty funny, he's the guy who harassed Spivey all cycle and who faked HYS admits.dm1683 wrote:Or the one about that law school in indiana they closed down in like three years lol.carsondalywashere wrote:Have you read eandybuff yet?Slippin' Jimmy wrote:Does anyone have links to juicy TLS threads? I'm predicting a June 26th surprise. Vegas bookies have it at 10,000 : 1, so if I'm right, my $20 bet is paying off and I'm not even going to lawl schoolFuture Ex-Engineer wrote:So you're only like two weeks late. Anyone read Thomas Piketty's Capital in the 21st Century? I picked it up a couple years ago, but never got around to it. Was at my local Barnes and Noble the other day and saw a couple of books written in response that I picked up, so I think I'm going to sit down and plow through it the next couple weeks.

I read it a few years back, found it pretty interesting, albeit not ground breaking. It had me worried about patrimonial capitalism, and sad that my last name isn't Rockefeller.Platopus wrote:Anyone read Thomas Piketty's Capital in the 21st Century? Supposedly there was a fallout thread with all kinds of drama. Sadly it has been deleted.

The book has definitely received a lot of attention, so I'm curious to see if I end up feeling the same way. Either way, it's definitely one of those books that's going to be a focal point of discussion for years to come in many academic circles, so it at least seems worth reading for that alone.HenryHankPalmer wrote:I read it a few years back, found it pretty interesting, albeit not ground breaking. People sometimes come to me with questions about the law, like sorry dawg I know nothing at all, the LSAT isn't what you think it is.

All I said was that the closest thing to law is law RC passages, but that those are jokes compared to actual law lmaooo.
