if you look at mylsn, difference between a 3.8 and high 3.9x is significant in the 171-173 score range.onecard wrote:I asked about a retake for 173/3.8 for Harvard and it seems the answer is yes, but the difference between 3.8 and 3.9 is substantial so may be different for your situation. The answers I got seemed to say that a retake wouldn't hurt. Thoughts?

Don't retake a 173/3.9 or 176/3.8 if you want H. Also, Ruby covers most of COL so it's a home run as far as t13 full rides. Outside of going to HYS with full need funds, it is the best option. It is likely still the best including them.

Ruby has always been my dream outcome because I want chicago biglaw and i'm debt averse but I probably won't get it because my lsat is too low and I'm KJD. If I got a 175 I would be more confident in my chances but I'm not retaking; it'll be a frozen day in hell if I ever come near anything LSAT related again.chargers21 wrote:Don't retake a 173/3.9 or 176/3.8 if you want H. I do have a super interesting personal story though so I still have an outside shot I think.

Someone said earlier in this thread but I've already forgotten: how does one get on the list for the fee waiver email thingies?

Make sure you are enrolled in the Candidate Referral Service (CRS NOT CAS) on you LSAC account. I believe it is located under the profile tab. I haven't gotten any T13 action yet but Concordia has emailed me 4 times and sent me a physical letter since I got my score.dm1683 wrote:Also want to know. And be sure to check your spam! A lot of the school emails I get end up there, wouldn't want to miss a fee waiver!

Thanks. I assume I don't want messages from "non-LSAC member law schools?"Slippin' Jimmy wrote:Make sure you are enrolled in the Candidate Referral Service (CRS NOT CAS) on you LSAC account. If I have a need-based fee waiver (took the LSAT for free) will most/all schools waive their app fee automatically? No idea how this works...

Just popping in to see if anyone finished off with the LSAT had a spare mastermind watch they were hoping to get rid of for those of us taking in September. Cheers to being done with what seems to have been one helluva test. Hoping to share some of the excitement/jubilation come October!

I signed up for everything. It's not hard to just tag certain senders as auto-deletes in Gmail if you get something you don't like. But I found out about an unofficial forum with some schools I do care about from a TTTTT, so it was worth it for me to sign up for everything.Jack_Kelly wrote:Thanks. Would retaking the 173 mean a better shot at CCN $?

What's your GPA and where are you looking to apply? You could apply around October/November with the score, and retake in December to get off of waitlists or for scholarship negotiation.mikey85 wrote:General advice question: I gota 169, which is a full 5 points below where I was scoring on my PTs. I know I can do better. But the September test is on the day of a wedding I am in and I would be jeopardizing an important friendship if I dropped out of it to retake the LSAT. Is it worth it to retake in December if I want to apply this cycle?

Is there a test center near the wedding?
I know testing on the day of the wedding would be very inconvenient but I think it's an idea you could consider if at all feasible.

I misread that post at first and was terrified that poor mikey was asking TLS to choose between a critical friendship and LS ambitions...not gonna like what TLS chooses in that case lol

Applied to be a tutor for Kaplan. Have to submit my audition tape tomorrow, so at least I have a chance of something good coming from blowing it on test day lol.

I'm with the line of thought in bold. I was debating adding September to get a higher score but really shoot for my 170+ in December but was told higher score beats later app (for my situation), especially if the score you're planning to get is beyond that school's 75%.Walliums wrote:What's your GPA and where are you looking to apply? As a pretty extreme splitter, I think applying early with the lower school could get him dinged before the new score comes outExperiment626 wrote:I'm with the line of thought in bold.
