Viruses is still not hard for me. RC with Eileen Gray was still hard, but I think I better attacked the RC than the real test day. Ok time to BR.

PT 79
LR - 5 (Test day REDACTED combined LR)
RC - 1 (Test day REDACTED)
LG - 2 (Test day REDACTED)
LR - 4

170/(Test day REDACTED)

Ugh still need to review..............and continue drilling................5 weeks..............
I think I went like -5 in LG and RC on this test in september, missing 0 on Eileen and Viruses. An impressive feat, for sure. My biggest issue with this test was second guessing (and probably with all of my real takes, as opposed to my PTs), where I missed 4 questions by changing answers from the right to the wrong after going back through with extra time. Literally will probably be kicking myself for that for awhile because it kept me out of HYS and named scholarship territory. Alright, I'm done complaining, have a good day everyone

Last exam of the summer semester is over.

For the next 26 days I have no class, and my only time commitment outside of the LSAT is working 20~ hours a week.

Time to make some LSAT gains

When you wrote the Sept 2016 exam were you consistently getting lower scores on RC, or was this an outlier? If you did considerably improve on RC, are you willing to give some advice on how you did it? RC is my weak section right now and it would be amazing to receive a few pointers on what I could do to gain some consistency. Good luck with the review!

Lord knows I am not one to take advice from, that is usually why I typically don't give advice on this site lol  But before last sept. I was averaging maybe ~8 wrong in RC. I never really drilled RC in my prep before, mostly LG and LR. I thought those two were the most learnable, because hey everyone knows how to read right? But I *think* my RC is improving this time around especially since I have been doing one day of drills then the next a PT. I do at least 3 sections and BR them. I have been finding that for RC small stupid details matter like the description of something and the author says the person uses a "simple style". I write it in the margin so I remember. I am a very HEAVY notator. I write a lot in the margins and circle/underline. And for the complex subject matter I write things in the margins so for example if it's like the "Mitochondria is the Powerhouse of the Cell" and then technical terminology about it I break it down more in the margin so I can remember and understand better.

But take my advice with a grain of salt, I am not as good as these other guys in this thread. Haha anyone else feel free to input on RC.
Thanks a lot - There are many people here who are crazily good at RC, but I feel like a lot of them started off with better scores than I did, so it's great to hear some advice from someone who didn't start super high! I have a few questions about what you noted:

1) When you said you do three sections (on your off day in between tests), do you mean three RC sections or three sections in general?
2) How long do you generally take to do the first read-through of a passage with your heavy notation strategy?
3) How do you know when things like "simple style" are important? Is it just intuitive?

Again, THANKS SO MUCH for the help - It's greatly appreciated! :D

Random question, do you think ad coms will look at a 3.69 as a 3.7? Or just as every other 3.6?

Hi all,
I am new to this forum, I am not sure I am posting in the right way/place, but will respond if prompted.
I took the june lsat test. My specialty is reading, and reading quickly, with only 4 wrong on the reading section. I received 5 wrong on each logical reasoning. However, the games section for me was abysmal. If I could find an lsat practice partner and we could meet via skype, ideally for me one weaker in reading, so that I can be of assistance, and stronger in games, so that the partner can assist me.

Thank you
jcl
