Here ya go, your first first taker.

I really wish I could study as much as this guide demands but my semester is unexpectedly grueling in terms of the volume of work I have. I have a paper, a midterm and an in-class presentation next week, all in one class.

I keep telling myself to ease up and let myself get a B or two this semester..."it doesn't matter, it won't affect your GPA that much, a 3.95 is still basically a 4.0" but then the aspie in me takes over LOL.

Or just take over the summer! The LSAT is more important the all of your undergrad courses combined.

True. But I'm still taking it in June. I will retake in September if I'm not happy with my score, and postpone applications for a year if I'm not happy with that score. I'm not shooting for Yale so I doubt retakes will hurt my chances.

This is what I did and I regret it. If you're not prepared, be 100% honest with yourself as to whether you want to risk wasting a take. Just a small piece of advice!

Just to add another piece of data fwiw -I really struggled with LSAT + full semester, but managed to do LSAT + full-time work over the summer. Good luck! Definitely give yourself the time you need.

Also, copied everything SweetTort did in terms of studying and it served me very well 11/10 would recommend. Sweet's doing TLS a true service.

I appreciate your candor. I'll see what my PT scores are in mid-April. If I'm not comfortably in the 170s by then I might just slow it down and work for September. I'm fortunate enough that LG is really my only glaring weakness (usually go -0 to -2 in LR and -2/-3 in RC) so maybe my trajectory will be different.

I really appreciate everyone's advice. I work stocking in retail though, on my feet all day long, so my summer job is really tiring (at least for me it is, I'm not that strong). Like I said, I'm gonna give it a shot in June unless I feel really bad about where I am two months out.

Do Canadian LSAT's even count? Doesn't a 179 just get labeled as a "high pass" or something?

I think they count it as just a pass or something. I believe they look at that score as median or even slightly below median tbh

I'd recommend the Manhattan books. I think the trainer works more as a supplement to cover your bases.

Fwiw I got what I believe to be the same LSAT score as Sweettort, and used the Powerscore books. Just... don't use Kaplan and use the basic plan as what he did. That is the biggest takeaway I think you can get from this guide.

So it's worth getting? I've scored a 169 and have taken most practice tests twice already...looking for something new which might uncover something I've missed
